More interesting news for owners of the PC copy: NVidia and ATI plan to release new drivers either today or tomorrow and... Bethesda is working on an update which will finally allow players to customize video options. Like, the way they should've been able to from the start.
:yess:

Putting my Demon souls game down to play some Rage - downloading now....as much as I love being killed every 9 seconds in Demon souls, gotta love me some ID

I already explained why I can't, but I agree with you that its needed.

Regardless, Im in love with this game. It's beautiful, has great control and pacing has been excellent. My only complaint is thatll end pretty soon.

Downloaded all 22 gigs to the 360 HDD, and game does run like butter.

Inital complaints: envionment doesnt react: cant knock over stuff, and lack of cover system give this an old school (ie archiac) feel that is taking some getting used to

True, the enviroment does'nt react to your actions or physics and this is he biggest complaint for me, however the armed enemies always try to find covering, and you can do the same but... in an oldskool way :lol

Anyways, I love this game :rock:rock

It's odd that when you start to talk to someone and walk away before they're done, they stop stop mid-sentence.

But otherwise, completely worthy of the price I paid.

Well done, id.

Crap. It's over. I can't remember the last time I was so bummed to see a game end. It goes out with a bit of a whimper too. Sequel please!

Overall, an incredible game. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Yeah the enemies seem to have these great movements, but you move like a tank....ID needs to catch up to the 21st century. They have been out of the loop too long

Huh? You move great in this game. It's a newer version of the same engine that created CoD. You move like butter.:dunno

A cover system has nothing to do with how you move. Moving "like a tank" means youre sluggish, clunky and slow. I could see Fallout 3 being described like that, but certainly not this game. Besides, you can crouch behind things....that's the same as taking cover. I did it all the time. It was pretty handy. Works for CoD and Battlefield.

Got this on PS3, texture pop in as really really bad. Wish I'd ordered the 360 version and bought a bigger hard drive. Not impressed.

There is something incredibly visceral about throwing a wingstick and seeing your opponent's head come flying off with a spray of blood.

Goodtimes.
:rock

No cover system and you move like butter? We'll have to agree to disagree

A cover system would ruin this game, It does'nt need it IMO, but first thing I had to do was to adjust almost to the max the sensitivity of the sticks, (I do the same with all FPS) and worked great for me. :)

To be honest the pop in is a big issue for me. It's distracting and I think it looks really ugly. Why reviewers never mentioned it is beyond me. Will be trading in tomorrow.

Devs dont bother to design for PS3, they design for 360 then port it over where the software doesnt match-up to the consoles specs and thus they screw PS3 buyers over.

If they design for PS3 it'll be amazing but they can't then port that over cos the 360 won't handle it.

I'll have to try it. Sorry, not hating on the game, guys...just so used to 3rd person games now I guess

It's probably more due to the memory being less on the PS3

I think there is alot of truth in that as 9 times out of 10, the multi format games run and look better on the 360 but when sony release their exclusives, they are usually very very good on the ps3.
Infact I prefer the the ps3 exclusives but get my ported games on the 360.

Back to Rage, my mate showed me it running on a top end pc tonight.
What a glorious looking game it is. Very impressive.
