1. He says his hand were tied with the black Enterbay bodies because there are no current good looking black bodies on the Internet and that he would have felt even if he used a hot toys body people would have complained about height because Jules is taller.

My argument is not THAT much taller however he said he'd think of a way to maybe shorten it but did not sound optimistic I'm gonna see of there's an easy way with the spare I have to see if I can help him



3. He said he agrees with me on the eyes and changes to the sculpt can still be made and he will try (BIGGEST win here as this was my prime concern)

Forgot to address this. There is a simple answer; THE AA KO TT. Helloooooooo folks! This is a no brainer! The EB is TOO tall and TOO muscular. Just look at the full length shot of him in the spread. Does that look like tall scrawny Jules to anyone? I've been suggesting this body from the beginning but I couldn't get any support. If you’re worried about loose joints, the V3s are fixed. IT'S THE EB BODIES THAT HAVE THE LOOSE KNEE COMPLAINTS NOW. So not only is it the absolute wrong proportions but in essence IT'S BETTER QUALITY! Everyone is too stuck on the name brand for this one. Normally I'd be the same way but I know that this is a rare situation that goes against the usual logical thoughts.

Quick analogy/story: I had a brand new Benz in 2003. As much as I loved that car and it was fun and all it was a total piece of s__t. It was in and out of the shop like crazy and it took it's last breath slightly after 3 years from the day I picked it up. The engine seized and died on New Year's Eve 2006. I know people who have Hondas/Toyotas/Nissans that were way more reliable and had much less problems

If the KO body is still naturally taller than the official TT then it's perfect. If the fixed the height to match the official bodies then that's easily fixed with long foot pegs.





Glad to hear that he is willing to revise the sculpt a bit

Hi guys another update from Rainman i wanted to share

1. He wanted to reiterate about the Enterbay body saying his options were limited and he specifically begged YJ to sell him 30 bodies even knowing they were tall. He said he's only human and was trying his best and that he needs to think about the balance of the body meaning that if he makes the legs shorter will the arms or torso be too long etc? Even still he will try to do something for the full sets

2) he will include the Big Kahuna Burger cup as an appeasement to the light Acessories.

How many of you are actually passing on this for real....

I secured one but did not pay yet. I usually pay within 2 minutes of checking out but I'm not doing it this time. I want to see what the final decisions are going to be.

I don't need to invest (lose really) any more into this. If Jules doesn't live up to expectations then I'll be forced to sell both him and Vince. It's bad enough that if I have to pass on Jules I'll be forced to sell Vince and I'll be up against everyone else who is trying to do the same. There are already 3 full sets and a H&C that I saw in the FS thread. If anymore pop up then the people who are trying to sell Vince will have to give them away. This is already a potential problem I'm facing with one very expensive figure, I'm not going to make it two

Thanks for adding this Ray. I wanted to chime in earlier but I'm banging out a double shift at work. I'll try to add a little more info when time permits. And yes the briefcase is a no go.

Yup, I was kinda puzzled by the odd choice of the dork outfit as most folks aren't gonna use it due to the body joint issues and plus the fact that it didn't come with the proper footwear.

I have a strong feeling all these early Vince sellers will have regret. This drop off stance is pretty dramatic if you ask me.

Yup that's what I mean. Vince sold out in near record time but I think that most people see this as a two figure set. No reason to have Vince w/o Jules. If everyone passes on Jules and tries to dump Vince then they'll be a flood of Vinces on the market and all of us competing against each other to sell. It'll be hard enough to sell Vince on his own, I don't want to get in a situation where I tie up $1700 and have to try and sell 2 figures; that'll be even hard then selling one which will already be hard enough

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that there are some that missed out on the Vince full set that wanted one, to go with Jules which I assume will be pretty easy to get for those that wanted one.


You got a point, mag. I just went to the commerce and that's quite a few FS for sale. Is that a record or did the same thing happened to Kilmer figure as well?

I'm still trying to decide whether to go for the full set or just the H&C+dork+unpainted as I did with Vince. While the headsculpt looks off and will hopefully be tweaked or redone before release, I'm more concerned about the EB body which is huge compared to Vince. I'd as soon get a HT body and get leg extenders, but then the suit is not tailored for it. So a bit of a conundrum.

Great scene, memorable look in the movie... not the greatest look for a 1/6 figure. Maybe it can be packed away for the day a suitable body comes along, or maybe something acceptable could be Frankensteined (Shorty's build was pretty good) but they're not ready to go out of the box. A lot of modding/waiting/work has to go into putting them to use.

At the end of the day I would've preferred something that was ready to use and less work. Sensible thinking > thinking out of the box in cases like this

Same here. The only leg option will be from the Perseus body. But even if one manage to do all that work, there ain't any suitable parts/ body for Jules. So it's kinda moot IMO. But this release is pretty similar to the secret item from fighter 1999's bathrobe.

Rainman has conveyed his feelings to me about this issue. He tried his best to acquire bodies that his customers wouldn't deem too "cheap". He pleaded with a few connections and was blessed by Enterbay with 30 bodies.

He told me these bodies couldn't be modified majorly cause they are glued together. He tried his best.

Of course he wants to please everyone but is seeing this is becoming harder and harder for him. Verbatim ~ "Everyone focuses on the not good point always." "I want them to see the good points" " I am only human, HT has good machines and even with that they do make mistakes. I know everyone wants a perfect figure. I do my best."

The briefcase wasn't gonna be possible for this project he told me. As for the dork clothes, I don't see whats wrong with having them. Joints problem aside and all, two of Jules main accessories everyone was clamoring for which are the wallet and "J" chain are only seen in the film with the dork clothes. So they are important to this release even though you might want to down them as unnecessary extras.

So after soaking in all the pages of talk since the V.I.P. Rainman was feeling kinda down. So he will go back and tweak the sculpt some and also offer the Big Kahuna Burger Soft Drink as a consolation to the underwhelmed customers.

IMO, I think this will be one of those release that people will regret passing on later. But thats just me. Do what you gotta do fellas. But I'm all in!

Great post man. I kinda feel a bit sorry for Rainman. It must be damn hard to try and please everyone and give people what they want all the time.
