Thanks for the update Mags! :clap

I think its fair to say that Rainmans methods of production have become a bit outdated and has not advanced as fast as what we're getting from other well equipped companies. This is to be expected, he is a smaller operation working with an extremely short turnover time.

However, logistically scheduling these releases around times when 1) Metal factories are availble 2) Proper sourcing of textile is available 3) Spending more time on sculpts could help Rainman put out a better product.

He needs to know that we are his supporters. We love his work, but in all honesty the sculpt just needs some work. I can also accept that he is human and won't always hit it out the park with likeness. This sculpt just feels like it was done rather fast.

Rainman has conveyed his feelings to me about this issue. He tried his best to acquire bodies that his customers wouldn't deem too "cheap". He pleaded with a few connections and was blessed by Enterbay with 30 bodies.

He told me these bodies couldn't be modified majorly cause they are glued together. He tried his best.

Of course he wants to please everyone but is seeing this is becoming harder and harder for him. Verbatim ~ "Everyone focuses on the not good point always." "I want them to see the good points" " I am only human, HT has good machines and even with that they do make mistakes. I know everyone wants a perfect figure. I do my best."

The briefcase wasn't gonna be possible for this project he told me. As for the dork clothes, I don't see whats wrong with having them. Joints problem aside and all, two of Jules main accessories everyone was clamoring for which are the wallet and "J" chain are only seen in the film with the dork clothes. So they are important to this release even though you might want to down them as unnecessary extras.

So after soaking in all the pages of talk since the V.I.P. Rainman was feeling kinda down. So he will go back and tweak the sculpt some and also offer the Big Kahuna Burger Soft Drink as a consolation to the underwhelmed customers.

IMO, I think this will be one of those release that people will regret passing on later. But thats just me. Do what you gotta do fellas. But I'm all in!

Great post, mag. And thanks for being the middleman to convey the messages, I know it ain't easy to. :duff

Kinda feel bad to rainman, but I hope he didn't take it the wrong way that most of us (apart from shadowfla) only wanted to have the best figure for our favorite characters. :peace Very nice of him to include a bonus and tweak that sculpt again. So any idea when he will show the revised sculpt?

Ugh... I'm such a sucker for Tarentino and Pulp Fiction, I'll still at least grab the H&C set. No way this is worth $800+ though. If you covered up the suit and had me just look at the sculpt a few months ago, you couldn't convince me this was a Rainman piece.

Not having a briefcase sucks... But I trust our custom community to fill that huge void. What irks me the most is Jules doesn't even look like Jules and it feels like he just wants to get this nightmare over with and onto Bickle. I hope this wont dissuade him from ever making a Django (the body issue alone definitely will), but I think rainman should just consult us a little more during development and all of these issues can be avoided. I feel bad for him feeling down, but nobody is going to be happy unless the final product is much better.

Thanks bro! Not easy but I'm willing when the time permits! He totally understands hence the tweaks and such. No idea on the mod just yet. Should be within the week if anything. I'll keep everyone posted unless someone beats me to it! :lol

Thanks for that. Here are some thoughts I have. As a creator of stuff I feel for Rainman on this. Without knowing his circumstances, I have faith that as an artist he gives it his all. Do we as collectors expect too much? We know that there are sculptors and painters out there that can make things photo realistic. YJ is extremely gifted. JC's painting is damn near perfect. There are some others that have at times been hit and miss in the eyes of the collecting community. Kojun has shown stuff that people have said didn't look at all like the actor. Arnie Kim did the Carlitto figure that is in my opinion one of the greatest mass produced heads ever but also did the Indiana Jones that was total decimated from the collecting community. Rainman has done some amazing stuff, no question in my mind. But are his figures perfect? No. Bill the Butcher is seen as a pinnacle of his career(including me), but if you look at screen grabs, it misses the mark in several areas. In my opinion, most of his heads are lacking just as much in the sculpting area as Vince and Jules, but people have still clamored for them none the less. I am not asking or expecting people to take what they get and like it, but I would ask people to remember that these are made by human hands. More time doesn't necessarily mean better results.

Mags, can he postpone the sale until next week? Re-schedule it or maybe postpone payment time until the tweeks or mods are revealed? I dont want to go into this blindly.

Cool :duff and like I posted in the other thread, please ask him for a pic of the duo. It might better illustrate how it'll look next to each other and settle some of the panic we are experiencing :lol

How many of you are actually passing on this for real....

QFT...addiction, we are addicted. Plus, with a little patience you could easily sell this if you don't like it in-hand and maybe even get "a little" on the side...

But thanks for all the VIPs that spoke to RM - made a big difference if he really updates the sculpt! We all owe you guys for stepping up!

I hope we can see the tweaks before 20th. Then I can decide whether I need to get down and dirty and compete with the regular folks for the FS Jules :panic: :horror :chase

In other News,......Looking at the Beach clothes and the J Chain, Nugget bracelet and ring are AWESOME!! Look at that pull string on the shorts!!! :horror AMAZING!

The suit has that shiney material to it and looks great! The shoes are beautiful!

I have a strong feeling all these early Vince sellers will have regret. This drop off stance is pretty dramatic if you ask me. :dunno

Agreed. I can understand some of the accessory wants for
the iconic stuff that was left out for Vince & Jules.

But the whole dramatic I'm selling
off Vince because Jules isn't up to standards, seems a bit
blown out of porportion.

This is an artist intrepretation of Jules & Vince and
very much still just a work of art. So put simply; if you don't like it,
then you just don't buy it.

No soap box needed. Rainman
does this for a living and will notice the lack of sales. He's
an artist, but also very analytical. Hence the Dork clothes
must have dork accessories thinking.

Or better yet, just buy the head and get some of these
awesome accessory makers on here to make the breifcase
and other things you want, and bash the figure yourself.

It would be a lot less cost, though you wouldn't get your
VIP points or whatever. But should that really be the
emphasis?

Just saying....:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

Now were concentrating on the "Good":yess: The shorts are amazing as is everything else. I actually chuckled when I saw the shorts the first time!
