That has about as much relevance as your other posts bud but, nice try.

I was pointing out the ABSURDITY of that as a statement, of which similar you made, and you took it as if I was being serious. :lol

Skirted around the point I successfully made and then dropped an insult. Your M.O. basically.

Relevance, You have no figures! :lol You can't be serious. Your a has-been dude. Get lost with your recycled collection.

You and Teddy borrow each others collections. Bunch of Fraudsters! :lol

Man can't believe I missed all this stuff till now haha, this is great reading, have to say that is an awesome figure and congrats to the guy who got him, he has the money so be it, Rainman keep up the great work!

Really not sure what else to say?

You still somehow think the amount of figures/posts here denotes a member's worth and that is so ridiculous I am at a loss for words.

Even by your usual dumb standards this is raising the bar.

:goodpost::clap

So someone who doesn't have the money to buy a load of figures can't enjoy and appreciate them from afar? And spending time posting means what haha?

:cuckoo:

I have a lot of figures and have a good amount of posts now but I will never say anything to someone with 1 post and 1 figure, thats just rude and snobbish, is that person looked down upon because they can not afford a large amount of figures or doesn't have as much time to spend posting?

Stop the nonsense man :lol You have no figures! A collector should have a collection dude. Only memories and recycled pics snake. Stop the front pleeese.

You playing catch-up with figures you used to have. :rotfl and you want to talk about relevance?

I totally agree and support the fact that it's his money and Rianman's prerogative and I celebrate both of those things but him having the money and rainman accepting to do it is not what people are up in arms about. It's more about the disappointment that now the character is off the table for the masses. Which is a tough pill for me to swallow because RM might be the only guy who could pull off a figure of this capacity and it's a bit obscure so it's not like we will be seeing every tom **** and harry take a stab at the character and have other opportunities to get it. I'd been one of the few who were lobbying for a bit to get it and other BE characters and there was definite interest, probably enough to peak the interest of getting together a decent sized run and not having to pay 4 K for something you could have got for lesser and would have still been as highly collectable, after all it's a rainman piece.

Personally I think that just sucks, if I wanted it bad enough like the other dude could I have done it? Well yea, but I would have invited a few others in for a small run to kill the cost a bit and offer others the chance to get it.

Mayne I think differently, maybe it was the one off aspect that had the allure of it costing 5 times what it could have. I guess that's just how him and I think differently, plus I like posting pics on here, talking about it with other members and sharing in the excitement for the figure but that's just me. Having an object is one thing but with an obscure hobby like ours the community aspect is all the more important because i doubt to many of us are getting our wives or girlfriends psyched about thousand dollar dolls. :dunno

True, agree that does suck that you cant get it but can't blame Rainman for taking on this commission, people are always pulling for different figures and this obvious wasn't high up so he did it, he can't make every figure, he was proud of his work and posted a pic and I don't get why people feel that is to say screw the community, this is his business though and the fact he even takes advise from us on tweaks and character choices is cool and something we must respect, in the end its all his decision.

How is it entitled if we would rather see a community of collectors enjoy these figures instead of 1 freaking person?

Better yet, how is it even fair to rule the character out indefinitely over a lousy 5k?

WTF Man? I mean WTF

WE'RE SPENDING MONEY ON THIS **** FOR CHRISTS SAKES!!!! WHY SCREW US OVER!

PEOPLE WANTED THIS! Why can't it be offered? F THAT COMMISSION BULL****!

Because someone paid for it, and it wasn't you. That's the way she goes!

Not meaning any disrespect to Rainman, but there are other customizers on this board turning out stuff as good as his, go to one of them and get a run of Harrow's going.

I'm curious, what if Rainman was never going to make that figure? Should someone who really wants it, has the funds, just sit there and hope that someday? I really want a Wyatt Earp, a John Wayne, a Michael Douglas. How long is reasonable to wait and see if Rainman chooses to do any of these? I'm not choosing sides here, just wondering what if the figure was never in his plans.

Why not communicate with us? Even before accepting the commission how about sharing the idea with us to gauge if there is a genuine general interest. This could have been handeled very well. At least offer his general support the option of "hey guys, what do you think about this character" he ultimately chooses his characters so why not just share it with us. He doesnt need our permission but damn this feels cold! Look at the amount of work put into that figure, thats quality work deserving of his fans.

Rainman should continue to do what he wants. He works for none of us, and I think a lot of people forget that. Keep doing what you do best, Rainman.

Yea but I mean this is his business right to make figures for collectors or fans of his work. If he's moving into a commission only business than I can respect it, but what happens when someone says here's 5k for Torrance, or any other great character. It brings up alot of questions.
What's to stop him from offering a Bill the Butcher or Wonka Oompa long after it's
been sold out because the money was too good. Great Talent but what about the
integrity of this hobby...otherwise why issue certificates and such.
