Group shot STAT!
That's the point I'm making. The bread isn't even fully in the mans hand yet and the talks of worth and resale are abound. Makes no sense at all.

Well I think that shows that a lot of people are making decisions on whether to buy or not based on the potential investment opportunity. Not that it's good or bad, but that's always been a thing with Rainman as far as I've seen.
Having said that, the one glaring difference between this set and the Bickle situation, in my opinion, is the sculpt. I was hoping the likeness would be better in-hand with Bickle than it appeared in some of the pics, and it just wasn't. There wasn't enough Deniro there for me to be really happy with that figure on the display, and I'm guessing that happened with some others. Part of that probably was getting wrapped up in the hype, but another part was probably wishful thinking. But unless we're getting extremely favorable shots here, I think Jack is a real winner in the likeness department. Maybe not Rainman's best, but in the upper tier IMO. Danny and the twins maybe not as great, but they're complementary pieces anyway.
Deniro shines with Robbies shades on. I know it should shine without them, but once you place them bad boys on Trav, the transformation is incredible. With the shades on, it's definitely one of his best.
I think the thing with Bickle was more of having the two figure option. Thats what did it for me at least. I was excited that both verisons of Bickle were being made but when I had them both in hand I felt like I just didn't need two represenations from Taxi Driver in my collection. Hence the Cabbie went up for sale and I kept the iconic madman. Think about it, most Bickles you have seen for sale were never the complete sets. Just one or the other. Now Bickle is pretty much non exisistant in the for sale threads which goes to show Rainmans pieces always find their rightful owners in the end. Even if they are not the original purchasers.

I was just mentioning this exact same thing last night among fellow freaks at Elvis show. While a great likeness overall, with Robbies Shades we have 100% Travis Bickle!
So here's a question:
The DX and grand packages will undoubtedly take longer to get out the door than a 'standard' RM release, so I wonder if the H+C sets and fullsets will ship prior to these sets?
Can't see it happening but just curious.

Haha, I always make sense....I just see things 5 moves ahead of you.
But no Lakhota it's not a request to protect any so called investments, these are dolls not investments. It's about maintaining ETHICAL business practices by sharing clear information if a numbered COA is being issued. This is a big big project so I see it very necessary that he include in a nice letter the breakdown of how many COAs were issued in total for Grand, DX, Full, and Twins.
This should probably be directed to Rainmans business associates who I'm sure take care of the business side of the COA business.
Excellent! I had not seen it myself initially but glad to get confirmation that it's there.

Imagine Robbie having to put out 200 trikes and Lee having to paint 500 sculpts...geez.![]()
U guys think there's going to be any quality issues with the amount??
