Exactly. Bickle is an amazing piece but he rots in the sales thread for retail because of the amount made. There's gonna be 3 times as many jacks. Jacks a sick figure but a month after shipped you're gonna see 15-25 jacks for sale all at the same time. Gonna get old quick.
Bickle was also unique in that he made two versions, and a lot of people bought both, then decided maybe one look was enough to have on the shelf. I've seen a lot more Cab Driver versions sitting around because it wasn't the "iconic" look.

There were multiple issues with bickle - I think one big factor was also that unlike the picture (or may be all din think through including me) it was difficult to pull of the whole iconic shirtless look. Only a few were able to pull off that look but the arms would never ever do justice to that figure for most of the people. Most were massive patch work at best. So whoever bought multiple head sculpts, etc was stuck hard on display options.
In addition to that I have my own view on the "sculpt likeness part" it was no where close to Jack, bill, doc holiday, and some of the other hard hitting sculpts by rainman.

Scored me a Grand Package and I am proud to own this!! Congrats to all who pulled the trigger and bought this regardless of which version you got. As far as the amount being made...I can careless because my set is never leavin. :)

It's already happening Rob, you see how many Iminime BrBa figure sets are up for sale and have been since release, people got over zealous bought the DX and then a week after release people started offloading them and still are.

I am a huge breaking bad fan but something about that DX package said no-no no. I know other people liked it but I have no interest in Hank or the orange suits. I did buy two Walters and a Jesse.

So here's a question:

The DX and grand packages will undoubtedly take longer to get out the door than a 'standard' RM release, so I wonder if the H+C sets and fullsets will ship prior to these sets?

Can't see it happening but just curious.

Great point. Would love some clarification on this as well.

I love My Bickle set :yess: When i first watched the Shining as a youth, i was more intrigued with Danny and the Twins. Did not care about jack. As a kid i had Danny's haircut, and rode that Bigwheel!:lol There will be no resale market on anything from this release. And those that try to resale, it will be at a Lost! Congrats to Lee And Robbie for their hard work and Amazing Creations.:clap

Precisely - at those price points a lot changes over time! I have the brba dx but I bought that cause I just love brba - I mean Leon, brba, and gbu will be the last figures I will ever sell (I don't sell or rather have not sold any in my collection so far barring a kill bill I wanted to sell but again I don't inspite of offers) but that's how people got to look at things and buy them. For many bought brba (with the objective to make money cause you got 6 figures for 2200) like 350 a piece- that's where my point on "parting out" to make money at that price point as a rational (irrational rational) comes into being!

Bottom line whoever buys at this price point shining should probably be so high up in their list that this set would be the last thing they would sell if things go downhill for their collection. Because imagine buying a dx and grand with the objective of flipping a 1250 Danny and trike. The salable universe with each passing month will reduce on that. (Can you sell - yes but it could go in any direction if rainman announces another release in 8 months that is more apt from a "movie" stand point for general audience!

Another example is bill v1 - remarkable figure pegged at 3.5k but as soon as iris did an outfit (with rainmans epic sculpt) the same need was satisfied for many at a 500 price point. While there will still be some buyers at 3.5k for it I doubt that the appetite exists when pegged against irises outfit (basically a lot is changing and a lot is changing fast)

flipping is one thing but having your money somewhat safe is another....lets just hope none of us run into a situation where we HAVE to sell because getting our money back on this one won't be an easy task once the retail hype dies...

If you feel this way they why even buy it in the first place. I don't drop stacks on things on hopes of recouping. Nothings promised. If your going to splurge you better be sure!

The reason why there are so many Breaking Bad pieces for sale is cause the thrill is gone. While it will still go down as one of the best shows ever made Walt has turned into the Heath Ledger Joker of 1/6 TV world. Just like Dexter before him. I'm glad I moved my Dexter during season 6 cause after that even a Trevor sculpted, Surfer painted, Kato dressed Dexter aint worth squat no more. No one wants it. And they definitely arent coming high for it if they do. Walt has now gone down that same path. I see beautiful Heisenberg figures just sitting there bump after bump.

I guess the pieces that sick are the ones that have a solid costume design and it just looks awesome having it on your shelf. I'm guessing Bill will be a contender?

The thrill has only gone for those who didn't genuinely love it in the first place. My Trev/Yunsil 'Walt' will always take pride of place in my collection. Not for sale at any price!

Touché and that should ideally be the logic of all purchase!

Listen to all of you. Already convincing urselves this release is worthless.

It is what you make of it. I know, personally, its gonna take a hell of a lot (aka never happening) to pry this grand package from me. Top 5 all time movies done by my favorite artist? Yeah, not goin anywhere. Stayin with me thx.

That's the point I'm making. The bread isn't even fully in the mans hand yet and the talks of worth and resale are abound. Makes no sense at all.
