The Hurt Locker ... 7.5/10. Good enough. Not great. Not quite as compelling as Black Hawk Down, but that's probably because this leaned more on quiet tension rather than actual action. Renner was good.

Probably a reasonably good glimpse into the life of a bomb tech, though ... at least as far as I can tell from watching this and Bomb Patrol: Afghanistan on G4.

The Dark Knight Rises: 9.5/10

I gave it a 9.5 because I still like Batman Begins better.

I thought it was great, although I have to criticize people here who kinda spoiled the movie somewhat with comments they have made in other non-DKR threads, and even the "Did you cry at the end of DKR?" thread, which implies that something tragic happens in the end.

People also spoiled the Avengers as well by revealing major spoilers in other non-Avengers threads.

It's like I can't even visit this website at all, in any section, if I don't want a movie spoiled for me.

Dark Knight Rises 7/10. There were parts I loved, but there were enough nits to hold it back behind both DK and BB.

Just got through watching Dirty Ho. Easily a 2/10 movie.
Why? There was no Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton. I hate misleading titles.

Apollo 13 - 9/10

Fist-pumpingly brilliant film no matter how many times I see it. Great acting all around.

Copland - 9/10

Someone mentioned it the other day so I thought I'd give it another look. I really loved seeing Stallone holding his own amongst all these other acting big-names like DeNiro, Keitel, Liotta etc etc Pity it didn't really get him any other against-type roles.
