Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

The only things I liked about AWE was the score that plays when they go to rescue Jack from the end of the world....or wherever he is. There is some beautiful footage there of them sailing through cold and icy waters...and the music is gorgeous especially when the string instruments kick in (around 3:11).

Holy ****

Back in 2010 there was a Sideshow Alien/Predator comic con panel video that had this amazing music in the background...now I finally know where it's from. Such a powerful and courageous track. It feels like it belongs in Lord of the Rings.

I agree that Penelope Cruz was terrible. It's been a very long time since I've seen At World's End but I remember disliking it more than On Stranger Tides. I really like this franchise in general though, I hope they can get it back on track.

This is a great scene:

American Psycho - 8.5/10

This man is the true symbol of perfection.

I never really knew how good of an actor Christian Bale was until I saw this.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

I did like the Jack line "Hello beastie" and the fact that he had a smile on his face and sword raised even though he knew he was meeting death. Glad they didn't make him a wuss in that scene and have him do his silly run and scream.

You should also check out Bale in The Mechanic and Rescue Dawn...and The Prestige if you haven't already. In fact I think there are only a couple movies of Bale's that I don't like...most I am a big fan of.

I think the only movies I've seen Bale in (excluding American Psycho) are the Dark Knight trilogy and Reign of Fire actually. I'll definitely add those to the list though. I assume you meant The Machinist though, not The Mechanic. I don't remember seeing Bale in any Statham movies. :lol

:lol :lol Yes, you are correct. 3:10 to Yuma is good too.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

The Prestige was also directed by Nolan and Michael Caine is in it as well. So is Scarlett Johansson, if you are into her. :) And David Bowie! :yess:

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Most people seem to hate Dead Man's Chest, but I thought it was almost as good as the first. I'd rate them the same but with Dead Man's Chest a point or so lower. Didn't like At World's End at all and the latest one was only decent imo.
:exactly: :1-1:

OST failed on technical level.
Very dull direction.

Agree but still a fun watch it is (love the first half) after AWE :lol
I hate AWE bcuz it ruined everything that was good in CotBP and DMC.

I watched The Way Of The Dragon for the first time years, last night. The man.. the legend.. the master. :rock

The fight with Chuck at the end in the Colosseum was killer, & the little kitty refereeing, was awesome!:yess: :lol

Just watched this one in 3D and I thought it was fantastic. 9/10 for me.

As for the POTC discussion, I thought they were all boring after the first one.

SWAT. 7.5/10. Colin Farrell, SLJ, Jeremy Renner. LAPD SWAT team escorting a captured terrorist who's offered $100M to anyone who can break him out of custody. Not too bad at all. Good action fare. Lots of gunfights.

3:10 to Yuma is really good. Western with Bale and Crowe. Also, try Equilibrium. Bale is a futuristic ninja law enforcement officer (for lack of a better description) in a fascist police state. Kind of a cross between The Matrix and Minority Report. Its actually pretty good.

Yes, I did. Forgot about that. I think Terminator Salvation is the reason I haven't seen any other films he's been in. I greatly disliked him as John Connor. That entire movie was pretty meh though.

Alright so,

The Machinist
Rescue Dawn
The Prestige
3:10 to Yuma
The Fighter
Empire of the Sun
Equilibrium - "Kind of a cross between The Matrix and Minority Report" I guess I should get around to watching those as well. :lol

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Terminator Salvation is one of the very few Bale films I did not care for. I also thought Bale was good in Harsh Times. Not a great film...but he was very good in it.
