ISTD is excellent, I think it beats out Se7en.
That was my first viewing of Oldboy BTW, I dragged my feet and finally gave it a watch. I thought it was good, but not what other people make it out to be. The climatic hook of the film is pretty ****ed up.
The original version of Oldboy is better

I don't know, Se7en is higher for me, with Fincher's visuals and mood I think it's hard to beat.
But ISTD keeps you tense the entire time.
I'm more that sure I've been spoiled the ending of OldBoy, I saw a chunk of it with a girl friend of mine but I don't remember why we had to stop watching it.
I saw till the dude just meets the girl, so It's a fairly easy conclusion.
Yeah, that's the one I need to finish watching, I don't even want to see the new one, not even with Brolin.
Man up and watch "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance" + "Oldboy" + "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance" in one sitting.Haven't seen Oldboy, I promised to watch it with someone years ago so I have to keep that promise

They are connected thematically. Are they connected? Is it a trilogy?
The plot's garbage. The story's puke. The script's crap.
Escape from Alcatraz - 9/10
They are connected thematically.
Chan-wook never intend them to be a trilogy but they are really powerful together.
I can't wait to watch it now.Interstellar - 6/10
Too stupid to be a serious sci-fi, boring narrative all over the place.
Watchable.
