Nightcrawler - 8/10 Holy **** what a performance by Gyllenhaal.
It was a great movie and really fun to watch. I gave it a 9/10. Shame it was not nominated for a bigger award show.

Nah iz nut!... they were set in France and the characters were French, that's different. lol
Exactly! All these "awards" are as subjective as the opinion of some web blogger.Easily my favourite film of 2014.Nightcrawler - 8/10 Holy **** what a performance by Gyllenhaal.
Still, neither financial success nor golden statues are true marks of a film's quality.
Beasts of no nation - 7.5/10 dragged a bit, and I felt the ending was a bit anticlimactic. Idris Elba and the kid were too damn good though, score was good too.
I think I expected a little more closure, unsatisfactory endings are a struggle for me. Unsatisfactory =/= bad.Wow, I thought the ending was amazing. Agu's speech at the end was heartbreaking. I definitely think they were both snubbed this year at pretty every award show.
Yeah, I suppose we're both spoiled by Hollywood manufactured "redemption". But yeah the entire narration by Agu was pretty nice and poignant, ah what the hell! I'm giving it an 8It was my favorite movie of the year, but the scene you described I felt the same, I totally wanted Abu to shoot him but I kind of liked that he didn't since I was totally expecting it.
By the way, what's your favorite movie of 2015?
Yeah, I suppose we're both spoiled by Hollywood manufactured "redemption". But yeah the entire narration by Agu was pretty nice and poingnang, ah wth I'm giving it an 8
I'm gonna have to go with Sicario. Hands down for me.
