Is it at least good for shock value and giggles?

I expected something much more than this, and left you disturbed. I felt that way with Cabin Fever... but this... most of the deaths are comical. One scene requires CGI for the death it looked real bad, like 90s bad :lol

EDIT: It wasn't for a death exactly, it was more for torture.

They put ants on one of the male characters while he's tied up, and holy **** they looked fake.

No, no it's not. I don't set the bar high at all with these type movies but this one was ridiculously bad. Not campy bad, just flat out sucked.
Eeeh, I was hoping it would at least shock me a little and was "so bad it's good".

It's off my list for the time being then.

It tries to be Cannibal Holocaust, but even that wasn't a good film. There's an after credits scene in this that seems be up for interpretation. There's already a sequel in the works "Beyond the Green Inferno."

Not a bad score for T2 at all. I thought you'd been saying it really went down in your estimations lately. Unless I'm thinking of someone else.

No, you got it right. I'll always give it a high rating, but I put The Terminator at a 10/10. The older I've gotten, I've come to find T1 more compelling. But I do appreciate a whole hellva lot the idea of T2, with the surrogate father relationship and actually making you love the T-800 instead of hating it.

The Transporter Refueled - 5.5 - What a waste. They should have just paid Statham what he wanted. The new guy had 0% of Statham's charisma. And most of the action was nothing special.

Knock Knock - 4/10 - Wow, what garbage. A mix of Funny Games and Hard Candy. Keanu. I'm not really sure why he chose to do this flick. He can act when the roles requires it, bet he is flat out awful in this. Like Nic Cage awful. At least the blond chick was hawt and got naked. And Eli Roth sucks.

Exactly how I felt. I ended up skipping through it and not watching the whole thing. One of the worst movies I have ever seen. Just pointless and bad all around. I would give is it a 2/10. One point for each of the chicks.

We don't get to theatrical movies a lot these days -- three kids 10 and under -- but I somehow convinced my gracious wife to endure an over-testosteroned western bloodbath of a weekend ...

The Revenant -- 10/10. Brilliant, beautifully shot, and really brutal movie. Almost on the brutality level of The Passion of the Christ. Extremely well done. Simple plot. Spectacular cinematography. The Indian War and bear attack scenes were both truly remarkably staged and shot -- among the greatest war scenes and animal attack scenes ever put on film.

The Hateful Eight -- 9/10. It usually takes me a couple of viewings to fully judge a Tarantino movie. But, I liked this one a lot. I would agree with some who have compared it to a western mixture of Reservoir Dogs and Clue. Even kept my wife entertained -- and she's not much of a Tarantino fan, and genuinely dislikes westerns. I liked it better than Reservoir Dogs. Not quite as much as Django -- my favorite Tarantino -- but mostly because it's a bit more claustrophobic than Django.
