Yeah, I've only seen the OG Fright Night once I think, but I do remember enjoying it.

The remake on the other hand.. :monkey4

Videodrome -- 7.5 / 10

First time view. It was on TV & I've heard a lot about it, so I gave it a watch. Some meaty themes, clever symbolism & strong performances from James Woods & especially from Deborah Harry surprisingly, who looked mighty fine in this flick might I add. Croenenberg's use of macabre visuals mixed with the subject matter made for a bizarre spectacle. Stand aside Eraserhead. :lol

She did get hotter in the movie as the character started turning.

She was sexy AF as a vampire.

That's the first thing I thought of... Marcy!:lol

Alright I'll give you that she was a little cute in it, but in the early 90s of Married with Children she turned into every Gym teacher I ever had.

It took me a few watches to really appreciate it. 80s Cronenberg is some of my all time favorites, especially The Fly which is my favorite Sci-Fi film of all time. I can't believe Goldblum didn't get nominated.

I know I can't think of a good remake of an 80's movie. It's funny though, because the 80's had the two best remakes i can think of: The Fly and The Thing

The only remake I have really liked was....
Night of the living Dead by Savini.....It was a decent shot at the original.

Oh I also really liked the Star Wars remake.....The Force Awakens...that was a good film....

X-Meh: crApocalypse - nope, still 3/10

So much story lines, characters and potentially great visuals wasted on a messy generic film that ****s on everything that made First Class good and memorable. Some cool things to rewatch on youtube, like "can never strike god" scene, and several interesting pieces of music... but that's all.

Nope. I loved LAH as a kid and now love it as an adult. The most underappreciated action film ever made.
