It's not really the same mansion is it? If so that's funny. I need to watch it again. I watched a bit of Part 2 a couple months back and would like to revisit the first two films in their entirety. They were action favorites of mine for many years and I'm curious to see how they still hold up.

Huh, with the Shane Black connection maybe it is....is it?

It looked like it was the same location. I know it's not the same mansion because Marvel used CGI for that.

MR.CHURCH. EDDIE MURPHY, BRITT Robertson , Natascha McElhone everyone give a stellar performance in this emotional movie ride. A warning may make you shed a tear or two. I give this one a 10 very well casted n told perfectly.

Civil War (2nd viewing) 7.8/10

Plexworthy: YES

The Accountant 5/10.. not an Affleck fan but started out pretty good, then became just another Bang Bang Gun film.Trying to make Affleck an action star.Hell we got Bourne,Reacher,Wick and a ton more for that.Waste of JK Simmons.

Sicario (2015) 6.8/10

I was really bored through the majority of Sicario but the parts I did like were so well done that it bumped up my score. While I usually enjoy Emily Blunt characters i felt she was miscast IMO. Brolin was just Brolin. Benicio Del Toro is awesome, as usual.

Lethal Weapon (1987) 7.4/10

They have the movies on Amazon Prime right now so I figured why not give this a watch.

The chemistry between Riggs and Murtaugh is what holds this Lethal Weapon together, but I guess you could say that about all the movies in the series. It was nice to revisit this one after not watching it for a few years. Mel Gibson still had a noticeable accent from his years in Australia. The plot is super duper thin and the action is OK but I think the only memorable action is the torture scene. I never noticed the anti-apartheid magnet on the fridge before. That made me laugh thinking about what happens in the second movie.

Not the number I'd give it, but you put all the points I would about it. And that magnet I noticed for the very first time the last time I watched it... after seeing it probably a hundred times :lol

The past few days since I've been home alone....

Nightbreed DC - 7/10
The Hills Have Eyes (original) - 8/10
Ghostbusters 2016 - 8/10 (Oh yes, I gave it an 8)
Drag Me To Hell - 7/10
Bad Influence - 8.5/10 Didn't remember how good it was
American Horror Story S1 9/10 Wow, loved it
The Ghost and Mr Chicken - 8/10

Yeah that magnet kind of sticks out now, almost like an advertisement.:lol

Fun Size: 6/10

Conjuring 2: 6.5/10

I'm curious, does the "based on true events" angle have any effect on your enjoyment of the movie? I feel like it hampers mine a bit.

it does, it makes it boring because they've stuck themselves into this "believable" box. So boring that I kept dozing off. plus the CGI was crap, and only jump scares etc. fun October watch, but that's about it.

I'm also someone who thought the first Conjuring was massively over rated. "oh look a ghost in the window!?" mother****er, I've seen scarier **** at the DMV.

I was pretty familiar with both cases before watching the movies, I give them credit for following the evidence so closely. but next time, make it a bit more enjoyable.

The Phantom Menace....(kids wanted to watch it because they are watching Rebels...)

3/10 is the best it deserves...
Plex worthy: yea its part of the saga....

As a side note, I have never seen the edits that float around on this. I really feel a decent movie might be lurking inside this turd with proper editing....anyone know where a Dvd quality copy might be had?
