Yeah that’s a weird on for a lot of people.
It hits a lot of nerves for my personal history.

Love the over inflated art forms of the characters. Great soundtrack, sci-if themes, and a central characters whom you can’t help but love...

It’s Disney at its best prior to computer animation. Give it another watch!

Fair enough, perhaps I’ll have to do that. I do remember liking it better than the other animated Disney movies of the era.

My top 5 would be:

Beauty and the Beast
Little Mermaid
Aladdin
Lion King
Jungle Book

And sleeping beauty gets a lot of points just for art direction and Maleficent even though it’s tough to watch the beginning of the movie these days.

For me:

1. The Lion King
2. The Jungle Book
3. Treasure Planet
4. Monsters Inc

Can't think of a 5th one ATM.

Treasure Planet is my number 6....seriously underrated......

I am assuming the original Jungle Book......

Top 5 Disney, that's a Hard one. I'm not including Pixar, cause I consider them separate, like Marvel or Star Wars.

Beauty and the Beast
Moana
Aladdin
Jungle Book
Peter Pan

Borg vs McEnroe 7/10.. grew up watching Bjorn, amazing that he retired at age 27.

GotG - 7.5/10

GotG Vol. 2 - this movie doesn't even have a plot/10

The first cassette tape has the best music, vol. 2 is very forgettable, like the movie itself

what does this mean?

Plex is a personal server like Netflix.

I don’t bother converting a film to digital for it unless I am going to keep it long term.

I store my disks as I don’t have the room to store them in an accessible area.

Current disc count is about 1200
Only about 400 films on my Plex server.

Justice League 4/10
Plexworthy: No
Rewatchability: 2/10

What a steaming pile of mess.... CGI is SyFy level. And actually Netflix CGI is better.

Horrible acting from Gadot and Batfleck, horrible character of Aquaman, Cavill is just wasted....Flash was the only mildly interesting character.

Who was the villain again? What was he trying to do?

Lex Luther LOL so stupid....

Its like this was made by 1979 TV executives .

Thor Ragnarok: 7.5/10

Very fun. Lots of great jokes and new characters. Action was pretty cool. Although Loki felt a bit bland in this outing (and in Dark World, come to think of it). I think I’d still give the edge to the first Thor because I LOVED the character interaction between Thor, Loki and Odin. Loki was magnificent in the first Thor.

The Shape of Water: 6.5/10

Eh. It was ok. I admired the attempt at an “original” story, but I just didn’t find myself that engrossed in the characters. *shrug*

Justice League: 6/10

Kinda disappointing. I actually liked MOS and BvS despite some questionable character behavior so I was hoping this one would fit in with those. JL was just overall very bland. It seems that Whedon re-did everything with Super (as evidenced by the ‘stache), plus much more than was reported. The jokes and lighthearted approach was ok I guess, but it was like “lite” Whedon, almost like someone else was trying to do a Whedon-esque movie, but came up short. And I *like* Whedon, too. Such a shame. I would love to see Zach’s cut someday. At the very least Zach's version would look better.
Edit: oh, yeah, the soundtrack was terrible. Disappointed to find it was Elfman. Zimmer's ST were great for MOS and BvS.
