Harry Potter & The Deathly Gallows Part 2 - 7/10

...not sure about this one yet...

The Change Up - 7.5/10 (+.5 for Olivia Wilde)

Fun movie. Didn't expect it to be as raunchy which was a pleasant suprise & having Olivia Wilde certainly helped.

30 Minutes Or Less - 6.5/10

Meh.

It's Hallows, Man. Not Gallows :lol

Rise of the Planet of the Apes 9/10

Really good film. :rock

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Machine Gun Preacher 8.5/10

I loved this film. Whilst it was a hard watch it was an essential watch imo.

I thought Butler put in a great performance supported very well by Shannon and Monaghan

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

I was bored the other night and I found Kick Ass in the 5.00 bin at Wal-Mart so I figured that would give it a try. Other than making Mindy to 30-ish...it was a good movie...6/10.

I also had a free redbox rental from the McD's Monopoly game so I rented Bad Teacher. I like it a lot. Cameron Diaz was very funny, and I found Lucy Punch to be both funny and kind of...well...warm if not hot. 6/10.

I've been on a (about 2 weeks) Kevin Smith binge recently .............

An Evening With Kevin Smith 9.5/10 Amazingly entertaining and almost 4 hours long.

Clerks 7/10 Still a fun watch

Clerks II 7.5/10

Mallrats 7/10

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back 7.5/10

Green Lantern: 5/10

I only give it a score this high because of the scenes on OA, which I actually enjoyed a bit. A mediocre movie though. Forgettable, and by far the lesser of the comic movies of the summer. Reynolds wasn't that bad, but the dialogue was horrible. He seemed to try his best with what he was given though. Best character and actor in the movie was Sinestro. I would have been much more interested in a movie focused on him. I actually thought the guy playing Hammond was a'aight, despite a lot of criticism I read of him.

Nice to see I am not the only one who likes Clerks 2 more than Clerks. I love both, but I don't know if I ever laughed so hard in a theater than when I saw Clerks 2. It is also a nice, personal film from Smith and you can tell he truly loves these characters. Plus, it also has just the right amount of Jay and Silent Bob. I saw this film right around the time I turned 30 also and it really spoke to me. And Jeff Anderson I felt really grew as an actor. His performance in the jail cell scene was very touching. All in all Clerks 2 and Chasing Amy are Smith's best made films IMO. But I also love Mallrats....Jason Lee makes that film!!

Agree... it really was just a ho-hum movie. I was particularly surprised by how the final battle just seemed so anti-climactic.

I really don't like Reynolds, but I'd also agree he wasn't the issue. I think his portrayal could have worked if the movie had actually been given the attention it deserved.

Tangled: 7.5/10

Pretty fun movie. I liked it better than the early 90s Disney movies (like Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, etc.), which I thought were good at the time. The musical numbers were mercifully short. I loved how they played the guilt-ridden/guilt-driven relationship between Rapunzel and her mother.

Green Hornet: 7.5/10

It was a blast! It started out a little slow, but once it got going it was great! The only thing I didn't like was
Kato stabbing Bloodnofsky with the table legs in both of his eyes
. I was on board with most of the over-the-top action, but that one thing went too far in the ridiculous-ness scale. And I only understood about maybe 20% of what Kato said.

Last movie was Real Steel. Great movie and fun to watch. Really bad ass robots. Saw it in Imax and the sound was amazing. Check it out.
