Hi Guys,

We are starting the 2nd sculpt.

I got many photos from Mr.Ankit

Here is what we think, the expression is nealy similiar to previous works from Hottoys and other customer.

And the eyes look much smaller due to he is angry.

The result can be a bit different if the eyes are made small.
I am a bit concerning about the eye size.

What you guys think?

IMO, a bit smile like smirk also good to express.

But I wanna make sure to make it what people want first.

I need to decide it untim tomorrow

The Rick Grimes sculpt has small eyes. What's wrong with that

Sorry with Cold Stare thats too Wayne for me inspite of the mullet, and Adam and Ko Jun comes to mind... an expressive sculpt be it smile scowl whichever works... but please no neutral ones.

There are thirty serious bale sculpts on the market. What makes Batemen such a terrifying figure is that he's crazy. His outward demeanor belies the killer within. That's WHY he's scary. It perfectly exemplifies the character imho.

Too make everything as transparent as I can, here is a smaller version and collage of some of the pics I sent to Denny as reference for the scowl expression for him to consider.

Understand some of the pics are there to try capture the scowl from all possible angles and profiles so that the sculptor an get the likeness spot on.

But we ran a vote a couple of months ago on the whole smile vs. scowl issue and scowl was winning by a landslide in the beginning and lost by nearly double the votes in the end. Initially when the project was tabled we were gathering opinion on the sculpt expression, but Denny announced the screaming one. and then said we would have another, he wanted opinions again so we ran another vote between smile (actually smirk) and scowl as those two were tops the last time. Scowl won that one... now Denny says he and his sculptor has reservations on how well they can be able to execute the likeness on the scowl... After the phenomenal screaming sculpt which I was not much of a fan of but won me over because of its great likeness, I want the likeness to be at par... and if the sculptor isnt convinced it will be a difficult job indeed.

I am happy with anything Bateman, as long as the likeness department for the figure is at par with the screaming sculpt. Simple... Likeness HAS TO BE SPOT ON! - too many fail Bale attempts in the market and two stellar neutral expressions too out there (Adam and Ko Jun DX12 proto)

Axe half of that collage is not helping the situation but confusing it. I told you that a while ago. The 7 pics you have up there that take place in the cab are a good spread as reference for a sculptor so they can see the 180° of the subject to study the features.

But there is only one pic there that represents scowl and that's the one from the nail gun scene. If there is one pic to base the whole idea on, THAT'S IT. The one and only.

It was all about the crinkle in the brow and the anger in the eyes. These others are close seconds but nail gun is number one:

I dont see how its confusing as they ALL have the crinkled brow and anger in his eyes in the cab scene the 180 of the subject of the specific expression is what I gave. Plus if you notice clearly the Nail Gun scene IS in the collage, and I DID tell them to focus on it as the main look as you said. And I think they did go over all the pics, so dont blame me as 'confusing them'. I can pretty much confidently say I sent the best pics to represent the scowl in as many angles as possible...

It doesnt matter WHAT expression they make as long as its not a neutral one like Ko Jun and Adam, but the likeness cannot drop from the way they did the screaming sculpt... I for one dont want to compromise on something like this:

Where the attitude and personality of the scowl are SPOT ON but likeness is ZILCH

good update on the screaming sculpt. but still, with that scream, you simply cant have the other head be anythig other than SERIOUS SCOWL / STARE.
