What a cheap way for Sideshow to make more $$$ by offering a different paint job. I guess if people buy it, then why not make it? Pass for me.

Got the Blue...no interest in this

So SS is now making repaints of statues this is another stab to collectors. Come on at least change something on the statue. First comes killer ES sizes, then no ES statues on the big popular statues like galactus and hulk. Then the ex now mostly comes with useless tiny little parts instead of something exciting. And now repaints of as many statues as possible for extra money. Let's not forget the price hikes too.

I think this is great. Angel's red costume is iconic, as far as the character goes. It's the version he is most associated with as a Defender (though he sometimes had yellow gloves there), and it looks similar to the costume he wore in X-Factor. I don't have much sympathy for those who take issue with the value of the original statue here, because some real fans of the character will prefer this costume to the blue, or would like it in addition to the blue, and I think SSC offering it is good in that sense.

This is kinda of off subject but am I the only who really doesn't ****ing care about getting the exclusives if you like the regular display better?

I have the regular Diablo 3 Overthrown and I don't care that I don't have the exclusive because I like the regular head better. No, I do not rotate the heads to keep it nice and fresh. I just leave my favorite one on. I have the Angel Comiquette regular and I don't care at all that it's not the exclusive because I wouldn't display the blue head.

Only matters for Deadpool Exclusive though because I want that ****ing chicken. I do hope they make that tremendous line cutting through his shoulder less visible.

Same with the Thor PF, where I would never display him with the beard, and classic Iron Man Comiquette, where that Stark head was never going to be displayed. Brother, they have been doing this for awhile. 3 Hulk Coms, 3 Elektra Coms, 2 Elektra PFs, 2 Hulk PFs, 3 Spidey PFs, 2 Spidey Coms (BiB & Iron Spidey), and 2 Iron Man Coms. That's just off the top of my head. There are probably more. They have been pulling a Bowen for years.

Sideshowt should just let 1/5 Marvel die already.

The original Angel and the Hulks obviously did what SS wanted them to do, which is why we're getting these redox. Kinda says if the piece is good enough they can have some success with that scale. 1/5 could do well if they made better choices overall. I just probably still wouldn't buy any.

I always thought a Blue version could happen since they did Black retro Spidey PF. Now with a retro Baroness PF, I almost expect Blue Batman as a direct Exclusive.

I think Blue looks better as a statue. The Red doesn't look as good. But in the comics he wore red in the Dark Phoenix saga. That instantly makes the Red more important for me as that story is one of the most important things the character was involved in, even if it wasn't about him. Even though I prefer the look of blue.

The main reason why variants bother me is that it takes up factory time that could be better spent on completing a new, unreleased character. We get countless delays from Sideshow on almost all their products. Scheduling variant production runs of the same character does not help with that situation.

Yellow/blue should be the variant. Classic brown and yellow(ish) should be the default color that companies produce.
