Would anyone have a go at repainting the Stealth Iron Man so that he's in the original red and yellow?

The paint looks very metallic and I'm not sure how easy it would be to do so.

PS. Does anyone know if the stealth version will be in the film? I've only seen images of the red and yellow version. I'm not that clued up on Iron Man and don't how the stealth version fits in.

I know for a fact that some will be trying to repaint it, it will be tough to come up with a good match for the paint from the original though.

The lights would still be red though, it would end up looking like this;

oh I thought you were anti-flipping :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

my my how things change

Um, hows a trade flipping? Both are near equal value. It's not like I am asking for Doom and his cup. But if anyone wants to let both go...:D

because youre buying stealth to get something else, therefore preventing a "true collector" who really wants a stealth iron man from getting one. :cool:

Not to mention you are trying to "cash" in your stealth iron man for essentially $600+ to be able to get a regular iron man.

The man has a point.:cool:

It'll be interesting to see the results if anyone does paint it. I've considered redoing mine (the original red and yellow) because some of the yellow parts look almost silver with the way it reflects the light. It looks as if it is faded or has been rubbed off or something. But I've checked and its just the way the light is reflected and I figure if I try to do something it'll prolly come out worse than it is.

It's because IM's paint job is actually a a clear color coat on top of a silver base coat over primer. If the clear color coat is not thick enough... you see the silver.

Yep, the shin on mine had a tiny paint rub and it was silver where the red should be.

Be cool to see someone tackle a metallic repaint like that, i always found gold the most impossible color to paint. Hope someone does have ago at it.

Thanks for the explanation Ghetto. Wish I had known when I first noticed it looked silver. I freaked out thinking it was fading.
