Am I the only one who absolutly hated the climbing scene at the end of Leon campign? How stupid was that like seriously it was longer than it needed to be and was just so annoying.

I kept falling down and my buddy started getting pissed :rotfl

I finished Leon and Jake, working on Chris now. I loved the Leon campaign, very creepy original RE vibe. Jake is a great character in my opinion but one thing I didn't like was his interaction with Chris. It was a tad stupid only because he didn't know who Wesker was and when Chris said he killed him, rage mode.

Nonetheless, awesome game and I want Leon and Jake figures!
:panic:

So I hear this game isn't so great.
if you read this thread since it was released, theres only about 2 people who "dont like it" maybe a hand full of people who didnt like the demo and havent pulled the trigger on the game, couple of people who pop in, moan the franchise isnt like they used to be (even though it turned into an action franchise 7 years ago) but majority of people are really liking the game and dont see what all the negative reviews are about once they actually play it. It has its flaws but i cant help but think that majority of the hate comes from the game not being survival horror and too much action. But after this long that argument is not valid any more. If its 7 years later and you are still acting like THIS is the game to break the formula then you will never enjoy the game if you dislike it from the outset. You cannot hate this game for something that changed operation racoon city, revelations, re 5 & re 4 ago. Its like holding a grudge against a child for something his great grandparents did.

Its a big step up from RE5. And im probably in the minority but i like it over RE4 due to the costume design, city levels, china setting and such along with alot of " epic " moments. You dont need to babysit your partner and im kind of hooked to looking at my details on residentevil.net. My only complaints is that you lose a block of health every time you get grabbed, and you get grabbed alot! That, and there isnt a memorable sound track. Though i am only playing my way back through it for the 2nd time and im less than half way in so i might start picking up on the songs.

No it's a decent game. Better than Orc and 5 IMO but not better than 4 and 3 and obviously 2. This 2.5 nonsense is just biased hate.

Well, whatever the case I'll give it a shot. The demo, at least.

It's tough catching up on the situation. Seems the hubbub around it is huge.

As much as i like Nemesis i would have to conceed that re 6 is a better game. for my own opinions. I love the city and its designs, i love the music but i dislike the monster designs. And i can start playing the game at 9pm and be finished at 10:30pm. RE 2 & remake are still the daddys! (though i still like Code Veronica alot)

RE6 is a blast, I'm loving this game a lot. Come to find that a lot of the complaints are toward minute **** that's been around since RE4 :cuckoo:

I just finished Chris's campaign, it was pretty meh. Definitely wasn't RE at all and the final boss looked like a
Giant jellyfish with a human skeleton

I enjoyed Leon's first chapter since it was very nostalgic of RE2 but Chris's campaign as a whole I just did not like. It felt like I was doing the dishes by rushing to complete it so I get on to Jake's.

The whole game should of been in Tall Oaks with Zombies.

The J'avo sucked ass.

Gonna have to agree. I liked killing zombies more than I do the javo but that's just me and I also would not have minded if the game was in that town but all in all I loved the atmosphere in Leon's campaign.

:exactly:

I also was completely disinterested in playing as Chris. I don't find him interesting at all, I much more enjoy Leon and the whole plot with him
hiding his love for Ada until the end

I'm gonna pick it up on Black Friday. I don't care if it sucks big time or not, I just want to complete the story for the sake of the series. If I hate it like I did 5 oh well, if not then great.

I'm with ya. I did buy Raccoon City and don't regret that, only regret I paid full price for it. Stick a RE label on it and I'll play it, eventually.

Ive finished my work for the weekend, time to have a good long session on re 6!.... no wait, now im off work for the weekend im "free" so people feel they can lumber with some crap to do

I might squeeze in Leons(Helena) final level tonight before i go out. So i can start as Piers tomorrow for whenever i can get the time to play

There is some quiet bits with no enemies at all. There is fairly quiet bits with a few baddies here and there. Then there is all out gun battles or hordes of zombie attacks where its very loud and action packed. But there is also a stealth element to the game when it comes to J'avo as you can sneak kill them from behind and it doesnt alert the others. You can do it now and then with zombies but very rarely. Its easily the most action packed RE by far.

I dunno, I found myself doing more stealth on the zombies. Problem with this game is that it gets repetitive real quick, QTE and enemies.

:exactly::lecture That's my only problem at the moment. That's why I only one chapter at a time. I tend to get bored after a while.

I like that the levels are long. but at the same time i wish they were shorter while im actually playing them. they are hard (but enjoyable ) work
