I'm looking forward to this movie, some probably don't, but I liked the Costner Robin Hood and I like the promise of Ridley and Crowe together again, but I wish Crowe did something different with his hair and or beard, I watched the trailer and too often it was like I was watching Maximus with a bow, he looks to similar to Gladiator.

This movie supports my hypothesis that the most successful TV show and/or movie would involve Russell Crowe (and Christian Bale) traveling the world and/or time whilst beating the living ____ out of people. I'll go see it. And likely love every minute of it.

i agree, i think his hair should be longer at least, but gladiator was bad ass, so i will let it pass :monkey1

Meh.
Looks like Maximus playing with a bow.
I wouldve liked to have seen Mel Gibson in the Costner role back when.

saw the preview during the superbowl and my dad says, "the problem with Robin Hood is its not realistic. Real charities only like 10% of the money goes to those in need and the rest is skimmed off the top by the administrators."

We were rolling.

I was friggin hyped when i heard they were making this, and then they decide to cast Russell Crowe, whom i cannot stand period
Just looks like a wasted character to me, surely there were better choices

I agree with you, blakus939. Russell Crowe was perfect as Maximus (Gladiator), because he looked like what the main character needed to envision - a general experienced in many battles, went to hell & back - he had that look..

I was thinking of Robin Hood as more of an Orlando Bloom or even Hayden Christensen.. Someone bordering on good-looking in order to woo Maid Marian (how can an old-looking Crowe like that swoon Maid Marian)?!

I keep saying if Crowe would have kept his hair long, his look for Robin Hood would have been 200 times better than with the buzz cut.

Maybe they will push his involvement in The Crusades more than previous tellings of this story to make the hardened gladiator look fit.

Based on the trailer, it seems like it, I get less a Robin and his merry men vibe and more a big war movie.

I wasn't impressed with the trailer, eh. The epic period pieces such as Clash of the Titans and Robin Hood haven't impressed me with their trailers. Naturally, I hope the full version proves me wrong.
