IMDB lists this as PG-13, but I haven't seen the rating anywhere else. I hope this is true, 'cause my kid really wants to see this.

What's with the buzz cuts on leading actors in days when they weren't popular, like this and Clash of the Titans?

Here is my review. My face says it all

Ha ha yeah you got me on that one
There are two big Action scenes, but sandwiched in between, is a boring period drama that is normal shown on the BBC on a Sunday afternoon.

An interviewer upset Russell by saying his accent was a bit Irish (It did sound a little bit in places) Poor old Russell got into one of his famous grumpy moods and stormed off the interview :lol

My son and I were really excited for this, but after reading some reviews, I think we'll wait for the Blu-Ray.

I just got back from seeing it and i thought it was really good. The story was a little different then i expected. Crowe did his thing, Blanchett made Marion bad-ass and Von Sydow was great :rock 8/10

Just came back from watching it. I really enjoyed it. I don't think its anywhere near as good as Gladiator but then again, the comparison isn't fair. Overall, it's a solid movie with some great performances, especially by Max von Sydow and Cate Blanchett. Go see it!:)

I just saw this. I didn't like as much as the people I went with, but it was far from bad. Above average, really. It's a bit too straight forward and without too many surprises, but then again it's a prequel story of sorts to the classic Robin Hood tale, so it's worth watching. It takes itself very seriously, and I wasn't sure sometimes if the film wanted me to laugh or not because the infrequent humor is downplayed. Visually, there's nothing really unique about the film, although it all looks good, technically speaking.

Russell Crowe does a Maximus-lite performance, imo, which is good. Max von Sydow and Cate Blanchett are good too. I wish Robin Hood's gang of thieves got more attention though.

:lol I swear, Mark Strong is always cast as a villain in every film I've seen him in (Sunshine, Kick-Ass, Sherlocke Holmes, for most of Rock n Rolla, and now Robin Hood).

I gave the film an 8/10 in the ratings thread.
