i didnt. 8th wonder said "I do know that no sequel could ever top the original." obviously he's wrong. sequel bests its original all the time.

Actually I got the impression that 8th Wonder was talking about Predator specifically. Not movies in general. That no sequel could top the original Predator.

Dead humans.

The script that's out there is very, very real. In fact, every single scene in every single clip ever posted, was in the script.

So i'm sure you sir, are a 100% wrong, and is just making up BS to stir something. :dunno

No, those 'scripts' are 99% fake and you're wasting everyone's time with them.

The movie will be out soon and it'll be obvious. :exactly:

No it is not.

Yes, it is, it's a juvenile Predator. :exactly:

Ahem... as a fellow Malaysian? (with a doctorate in Genetics, Biology..)

The main cause of wide variation in dogs is that selective breeding that emphasise genes that would normally be recessive, silencing genes, and continuing mutations that has desirable traits that would normally take no precedence in normal evolution. All these traits contribute changes in morphology, behaviour and other biological aspects.

New studies have shown that Neanderthals have assimilated into mordern humans too.

So if predators follow earth's Mammalian genetics, large variations (skeletal and others) in predators are possible for essentially one species.

I'm willing to bet the movie will screw-up other aspects of biology... but not on the point of different looking predators.

well-presented points.

as a reminder, i qualified my earlier posts that genetic manipulation isn't part of my evolutionary argument for mr black's missing crown. i was talking pure, "left-to-their-own-devices" evolution. selective breeding in dogs is essentially a simple form of genetic manipulation.

the morphological variation in dogs isn't anything like missing an entire part of the skull in the predator! we're not talking subtle, we're talking a big-a$$ diff! :lol

as for neanderthals and humans having supposedly assimilated together eventually, it doesn't change the fact that they were originally 2 distinct species. which was my point as well.

and to simplify the argument, we ARE talking about the same species when it comes to the predators, unless the filmmakers expressly state that these are a sub-species or something else. (but some members have already pointed out that based on the leaked script these are deformed preds as a result of experimentation, so if the script is real, ultimately the evolutionary argument doesn't apply i guess.)

btw, good to hear from a fellow bolehland resident. :wave

btw, for those who think that posting speculations about evolutionary biology is "pointless" u are more than welcome to NOT read these posts. we're merely having some fun as fanboys and at no point is anyone serious that his/her theories and references to real world evolution are gospel. so do lighten up.

Yes, it is, it's a juvenile Predator. :exactly:

Ermmm not really man, it's been confirmed that the Predator with open jowls is The Black Super Predator, a Predator who has tampered with his DNA to futher his hunting and killing skills.

The other Predator is The Classic Predator, a homage to the original Predator from the first movie.

No juvenile in the pic you have shown, I haven't read the script but from what I've picked up there are NO juvenile Predators in this film.

:horror Don't even try it man! I know your game, make everyone believe there is a corrilation between Twilight and predators so you get the theatre to yourself! Aint gonna happen! :lol :peace
