It IS cheap... 40 million bucks.

And also, most of Fox's films are filmed with cheap cameras. They make every film look cheap. Except Avatar, since that was Cameron's Camera.

Which was used to great effect in The Final Fantasy Movie. Not sure which came first.

I used Halo as a reference because people have actually seen that and know about it.

Another thing: The parachutes they all have.. Predator made!? If so, lmmfao.

this movie is about a bunch of losers (killers) put up against predators. none of these characters look bad ass. and you can tell the audience will have no connection with these characters. so when they die the audience will not care or feel bad for the character. unlike pred1 and 2.

triggered its release, its design is unfamiliar to us.

Why did they chose to make a human like parachute? Kinda silly.

Not true. These arent losers. They're killers. And from the script, it's a character film. They're as developed as Dutch's crew was.

And I dont think anyone gave a ____ about anyone dying in Predator 2. I like the movie...but it's way over the top.

80's and early 90's movies used a lot less $ for a lot more ____ING!

I can't blame FOX for making this for 40 million. I don't think it is going to make a great deal of money on it's theatrical release, but I would not be surprised for it to make a good profit on DVD and Blu-Ray

in pred 2 l thought it was to bad Bill Paxtons character died. anyway l just think this movie will be silly. looks like the action is well done. but for me the characters are not interesting, most of the preds do not look that great. and seeing Topher Grace running around completely ruined this for me. l just wont be able to get into it with him in it. do not get me wrong l am not a hater, l really want this movie to be great. l just do not think it will be. BUT l hope l eat my word when it comes out. but l will not pay to see it, l will wait till it is on the internet.

But that's not what they're aiming for though (Since both AVP and AVP:R did well on DVD). This is supposed to "re-vitalize" the franchise at the box office so if it bombs domestically the franchise is pretty much dead.

When are people going to mention how terribly directed this movie is, i'm not the only one right? All scenes i have seen are laughable.

I am going on my own next Thursday, I had asked the wife if she wanted to go, and she made that face wives and girlfriends make. It's a bit similar to the ones us guys made when we got asked if we wanted to see Sex and the city 2

Who says there's no tension? There's a ton in the script. Theres really only 3 scenes with the Hellhounds, and thats it.

The reason why movies were easier to make back in the 80's and 90's were, people used to be wowed by good stories...not special effects.

Which is why less and less good films are made each year.

hollywood is a joke these days. l watched AVP a few days ago on tv, l had it on in the background. l noticed that 1 of the reason it SUCKED were the actors in the pred costumes walked like football players and they barely moved there arms. l watched the special features, and the producer said there were 45 screenplays for an AVP movie which were all shot down, and those were written buy top screenplay people in hollywood. so how bad did those have to be before the AVP crap got the green light.
