Just wait to buy em 5 minutes before show time they'll be available.

I dunno jye, those Nissan Rogue commercials have been airing non stop during NBA games lately. That's sure to pack theaters on opening weekend right?

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

Whats really strange is seeing certain people bash this thing before it comes out are the same people praising Suicide Squad before, during and after it was out, and that film is a steaming pile of dung........(oh and lets not forget that wonderful Batman v Superman...)

Its not like Disney doesn't make spectacularly good movies.....well lets just say almost all Disney films are miles better that any of the crap DC films we have seen lately.....

Unless you just too old or cool for animated films.....

I suspect most of the bashing at this point is from folk trying to be counter culture....and hate on things that are popular......seen this dozens of times over my years. " I was hating on this months before anyone else!!!!"

I am just happy to have more Star Wars films....as a child I remember how bummed out I was realizing ROTJ was the last one forever...

Now as long as this film deliver more that TPM , or AOTC...I will be happy.

Squad has been my favorite movie of 2016 so far, and I'm looking forward to RO. point is moot.

I agree with Xipotec.

As for the final poster, I like it. I'm glad they (at least for this movie) abandoned the tired Drew Struzan formula. I didn't like the "new" look vs the Classic look, while they didn't hit the nail on the head, it feels closer to the original posters for the OT, which are among my favorite posters ever made.

A lot of good stuff in your post. All blockbuster films use some "formula," it's the style these days. My view is either I blast DC, Marvel and SW etc. as a whole or I accept it and move on. I chose the later. Would I like more grown up style, absolutely but I get us old bastids will never be the target audience. It is what it is.....

Thursday huh? My payday, i buy my good seats here. In San Antonio 95% of the theaters have reserve sitting, and i want good seata for the alamo drafthouse showing.

Despite how much it might or might not suck, hearing tie fighters and seeing different angles of the death star validates my purchase

We are the target audience and the studios are finally beginning to realize that. FOX's brilliant Deadpool opened that door by making more money than any tentpole in the last 20 years and because of that 2017 will be a major return to studio-funded mature content.

Time will tell. They may add more adult themes to appease old farts but our investment window in their brand is smaller (10 - 25 yr) then children (30 - 40 yr).

Meh....I still enjoy watching TFA and I'm looking forward to RO. Not really interested in others opinions so they can be grumpy panda's all day long....pay em no mind.....

Agreed. :goodpost: +1

Just armchair directors & keyboard commandos trying to be "cool & edgy". :rolleyes2

I'm with you on being happy that we're getting more Star Wars movies and I looking forward to seeing RO. +1

The official theme of SSF. Lame looking film, crappy overpriced SS Beetlejuice figure, weak third season of Flash? Everything is awesome!! :lol

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

I loved TFA.

Well why don't you marry it then! LOL

No, I enjoyed it too. As it stands now, my favorites are:

1. ESB
2. ANH
3. ROTJ
4. TFA
5. ROTS
6. EWOK MOVIES (LOL)
7. STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL (LOL)
8. AOTC
9. TPM

I have not seen any of the cartoon series so I did not include them except I did see the cartoon in the Star Wars Holiday Special when I was in the 2nd grade and loved its.

I have high hopes for Rogue One and hope its up there at the top of the list. We will all know in less then a month!

MTFBWY and LLAP and Take Care,

Rick
