Re: Rogue one: Spoilers confirmed! You are warned do no read these are real

There's lots of aging mistakes between the PT and ANH. I'm trying to figure out where the 9 years came from.

Re: Rogue one: Spoilers confirmed! You are warned do no read these are real

It's 19 years between ROTS and ANH isn't it? Were is the 9 years coming from?

Re: Rogue one: Spoilers confirmed! You are warned do no read these are real

So it all adds up right?...

I don't see any problems with the aging. Except maybe Jimmy Smits' character not looking too old, but then again, look at Tom Cruise...dude barely ages, so it's not impossible (pun intended :lol).

Vader is probably in his 50's in RO/ANH, which means Obi is in his 60's and Luke and Leia in their early 20's...maybe?

Re: Rogue one: Spoilers confirmed! You are warned do no read these are real

I liked the movie more the second time I saw it and I was one of those who watched the Vader scene released online before the movie. I wished I had not seen it now and watched it first at the movie. There are going to be plenty of inconsistencies between the movies as they go back and rewrite canon etc... But really as long as the movie is compelling who really cares about the super minute details, like how Ponda and Doc get off Jedha so quickly before it is destroyed and then show up on Tatoonine a day later to meet Luke in the bar. We are going to just have to dismiss the inconsistencies.

I do not think Lucasfilm or Disney will mess with the OT any further then George has already ruined them. In fact, there was a rumor they would release remastered Blu Ray versions of the original OT before TFA was released last year even though George said that would never let that happen, so I am sure George is pissed about them doing that if they eventually do release them. Yes we do need Han Shot First back into ANH.

So now we wait to see what's on store of Episode 8 and the Han Solo movie. At least Disney has shown they are willing to take some risks killing off all the heroes. I am still very interesting in seeing the original shooting script for Rogue One to see what the big deal was that needed all the reshoots.

That's easy, just get the Harmy despecialized versions. :)

No age difference is bigger to me than the creepy cradle rocking by Padme. She was ~16 in TPM and "Ani" was 8 at most. She looked at that and thought "mmmmmmm".

Re: Rogue one: Spoilers confirmed! You are warned do no read these are real

I need to see the original cut before all the reshoots- too bad we won't get to see it- crap:gah:

$155 opening weekend- FAR below TFA..and below what BvS did??
I think the numbers will drop dramatically now for next weekend- to me not the super kid friendly happy film Disney usually makes and the numbers may suffer for it.

I tip the hat to Disney for doing this and allowing the ending to go and not be reshot to be "happy". I was certainly wrong about the reasons it was reshot for...

I can't believe they filmed that Jerjerrod stuff. I've never seen that. Vader was bad enough in Jedi, glad that didn't destroy him in that scene even earlier than they did ultimately in the movie.

For my view, Vader sucked the moment he stepped awkwardly down the shuttle ramp in the opening scene. Prowse seemed to have a hard time walking in that suit, down ramps, up stairs -- every time he moved it seemed... uncomfortable. And not as a story point.

I don't know what to make of that. Is it pathetic that RO couldn't beat BVS or is it impressive that BVS made more than a SW film considering the terrible reviews and online hate?

Good movie > Box Office all the way!

Didn't BvS open is summer? Christmas notoriously has lower numbers than summer, doesn't it still? I mean, people gone for holiday vacations, shopping, etc.

That said, I would also guess that Superman and Batman have a larger draw than a Star Wars movie admittedly outside the Skywalker box. I wish it were not true, but boys love their comic books.

Re: Rogue one: Spoilers confirmed! You are warned do no read these are real

19 years, huh?

Truth is, only Bail in RO looks 19 years older than he did in ROTS... because it almost has been that long (11 years).

One of my key issues with the PT is that Lucas started the whole thing off way too young to begin with. Vader should have been about 31 when Luke was born and he 'earned' his suit. He should have been a man, not a 23 year old whiner.

Do we know if Tantive IV was on Yavin prior to the attack on Scarif? If not, how did Threepio & Artoo get onboard, cause they were on Yavin?
