If Wonder Woman isn't good then even a broken clock will have a better track record than WB. :lol

In fairness I think WB/DC films get a bum rap, especially with Suicide Squad which was a really fun movie. It's just almost comical (no it flat out is comical) how they keep trying to "lead from behind" with respect to Disney/Marvel and just can't for the life of them keep up.

I think MOS gets a bum rap, considering R1, which is a dark/slow film got good reviews, but I can't defend BVS or SS.

BVS might not deserve a 27% on RT, but I hate it to the point that it killed any enthusiasm for JL and WW and I will never see it again. It's basically what the prequels did to big OT SW fans.

SS, it's entertaining, like watching a music video with some Batman characters, but it doesn't make me more interested in the DCEU.

Disney is doing a great job with Marvel and a decent job with SW.

I'm kind of in "how can this ever be topped" mode. I mean seriously. With RO I got the tone I've always wanted in a SW movie, I got stakes, I finally got a OT-quality space battle but with modern visuals (TFA's X-Wing attack on Starkiller looked awesome but didn't have the tension of OT battles), got to see new worlds, creatures, etc.

Of course I still want to see where they go in Episodes 8 and 9 but no longer because I have a "hunger" for what *can* be achieved in a SW film. I feel like my wishlist has been totally fulfilled.

TFA redeemed ROTJ somewhat by allowing Han to go out the way Harrison always wanted and it did introduce some great new icons but Rogue One pretty much gave me everything else I've ever been excited about going all the way back to 1995 when George announced that he was "updating" the OT with modern visuals. Only now has that promise finally been fulfilled IMO.

Everything from here on out will either be gravy or harmlessly dismissable. This is one content Star Wars fan.

In a way i'm right there with you but at the same time i'm super looking forward to Luke/Leia's arc plus 8/9 might surprise us with even more massive or impressive battles, I still think we have an epic lightsaber showdown ahead of us.

You know, there was a time when just seeing the At-At walking in ROTJ Endor made fans super happy (why wasn't it used in the BOE anyways), now it takes much more than that.

I'm happy to see Disney tackling these movies in a respectable yet fun manner and truth be told some of the same core people that gave us the PT are responsible for TFA and RO (ie; Knoll, Chiang etc) so good for them for addressing head on the very vocal negative feedback that rose from the ashes of the PT.

I'm just as excited to revisit the slow parts of RO as I am the 3rd act because it is the slow burn from act 1 and 2 that enhances act 3.

Vader is scarier than Jason freaking Voorhees now, yup we just turned a corner with RO lol.

And with the glow effect it could actually be (even) more convincing too. If they did that I wonder who'd do the voice....Ewan McGregor?

Yeah I agree, EM is young OW for me as i'm sure it is for many others, he was not the problem in the PT.

Poor Warner Bros. They stupidly killed off Superman because they were certain that Cap was gonna die in Civil War. Then they go "okay fine audiences don't like dark movies we better not kill off too many people in Suicide Squad." Then Rogue One comes out...

They need to be like George Constanza and just do the literal opposite of whatever they think is best. :lol

Oh man that's too funny.

lolz

Yeah, what a bonehead thing I did earlier, I was shot..stayed up too late talking with you lol.

Just watched Rogue One a second time. Interesting knowing for sure as you watch that they all die. Makes several of the scenes have a bit more impact. To me it looks like the disc they pass at the end of the movie is pretty much the exact same one that Leia puts into R2.

Of all the nit picks I may have the movie is so good that it's easy to forgive all of them. Krennic is an excellent character, love how nasty he can be and how sniveling as well, at first I thought they used Tarkin a bit too much, but it works in that regard with Krennic. Even though I felt as though TFA moved me in certain ways a bit more, I appreciate that this flick is more original and my issues with it are much more minor.

Curious if those Saw rumors are true where Vader is the reason he's in the shape he's in and if scenes were really shot of that.
