Hasbro should have never discontinued The Vintage Collection packaging. I'd buy all the RO figures if they released them on vintage style cards.

Yeah, what they were doing in 2010-2013 was really impressive. Should have just kept doing it for TFA and Rogue One. Marketing probably dictates that they "refresh" their look every year, but at this point I think Star Wars sells itself. The throw backs are so much nicer than the graphic garbage they do now. Plain cardbacks have got to be cheaper to produce than those weird blister clamshells too.

It sure would make the toy aisles at retail stores look better.

So glad I got out of 3 3/4" collecting 16 years ago. Before the dark times.

You quit around the Phantom Menace/Power of the Jedi?

I never "collected them all". Only bought on and off for every new line and picked what I liked. I haven't gotten any 3 3/4" for about three years now. Over the past 16 years there has been some pretty good ****.

I wish they'd do a new TIE advanced 1 Tie Fighter for Vader. They're still using that old 90s POTF2 thing.

TPM killed it for me. That, plus the constant repackaging of familiar figures. It just became an endless maze. I liked the green cards POTF. When they went purple and all kinds of other cards it became insane to keep up. As it is I must have 20 boxes of carded figures in my garage collecting dust. Remember when the POTF Royal Guard and the Snowtrooper .00 were 'hard finds' and valuable. :lol

I do have a nearly complete line of the vintage figures though, including figures from many of the sets, like the Rebo band, etc. Think I'm only missing a few Ewoks.

I bet in 2005 the actress who played Mon Mothma thought "Geez ROTS sucked and my scene got deleted anyway. Guess I'll never be a part of anything special..."

I recommend L8twrt's fan edit of RotS. It makes it a much more watchable movie. He also reinserted all those Mon Monthma scenes.

I want to see the original pre-reshoot RO now so badly- wow if we could only see it released:gah:

Doubt we'll ever see it. From what I've read its a much better movie than what we got and Disney wouldn't want the backlash from having taken it away from Edwards.

I always knew with Disney at the helm that these new films weren't safe from the suits.

So damn cool compared to the garbage they put out now. :(

I never did get the large ''BMF'' Slave I though.....

James Earl Jones did a good job. However I can't imagine him doing that again in a bigger role. He has his age and you can hear it.

Just got back from my second viewing.

Easily the 3rd best SW film

Ranking for me is like this
ANH - 10 out of 10
ESB - 10 out of 10
RO - 8.5 out of 10
ROTJ - 7 out of 10
TPM - 6 out of 10 (that's right I like it better then TFA)
TFA - 6 out of 10 ( I hope other films make this one better)

I understand TFA has better acting but TPM felt more like a SW film to me and had better action... By far.

ROTS - 4 out of 10
AOTC - 1 out of 10

As for my second viewing. Like the characters so much better (like I thought I might) now that I new them and the story did not feel as clunky now that I knew names and places better. All the action was better also now that I could sit back and enjoy and not worry about the film sucking.

Each film had their 1 great scene:

TPM: Maul fight
TFA: Falcon escape

But then TPM stops there for me.

While not perfect by an means TFA kept delivery the goods in a consistent manner even if the rest never reached the highs of that Falcon escape.

Leia actually NOT sucking.
Lightsaber battle in the snow.
Rey's bad ass awakening.
Honestly best Chewie of the entire series if kicking ass is what we're going by, in OT he just roars, walks and sits.
BB8
Decent enough flight battles.

Again not perfect but I can at least rewatch the damn thing.

I recently rewatched the PT and the only one I watched from beginning to end was ROTS, the other 2 I had to skip scenes, especially TPM.

AOTC at least makes me cringe laugh.
