Agreed. There was no other way to end Jyn and crew's story.
I have to say that I found the ending of RO bittersweet.

I think all the villains in the Nolan films were pretty good. I enjoyed the whole trilogy quite a bit on a recent rewatch despite the fact I had been on a bit of an anti-Nolan bandwagon for a while.
Good man- I found Bane alot more menacing in his scenes with Batman than Ra's was in BB
Leto never had a chance really. Hampered by following Ledger and by the current iteration of the DC film universe which, rightly or wrongly, has an awful reputation.
And "So you came back to die with your people" will forever be the setup for Batman's greatest fall. No other villain has those particular bragging rights.
..but...he stole that from Bane....
Yeah, he also stole Keato's "I'm Batman" in Begins. That always bothered me.
RO will still make $500 million easily here and that is amazing- a letdown from TFA but stunning in success anyway.
Well who hasn't seen Batman '89. If I was Batman I'd have stolen that line too.
He also stole Rachel's silly line about it's what I do that defines me. Shoulda been called Parrotman.
Pius Thicknesse in Harry Potter.
