Lars was also Obi-Wan's brother originally.
It was further complicated in a "Young Jedi" novel where a young Obi Wan has a vision of his biological family, and learns that he coincidentally does have a brother named Owen.Well, sort of. Owen wasn't Ben's brother as of ANH, Lucas and Kasdan made that determination during a story meeting for ROTJ. Obviously Lucas ditched that idea when he made AOTC, and surprisingly I thought that making Owen Anakin's half-brother was a pretty ingenious move. One of the few aspects of the PT that I thought was well done.
I love how after that fight Chirrut sits down on one of the Stormtroopers he bested. Insult to injury.
Why not just tell Leia that she has a brother and an "uncle" to begin with?
Thats sort of the point.
I think Bale was kinda saying, "Obi get off you ass and deal with these two kids and their father , instead of hiding out in the desert".....
Bale realized they needed to stop Vader somehow, and figured his children might be a bargaining chip.
Obi-Wan:S-sorry...I think Bale was kinda saying, "Obi get off you ass and deal with these two kids and their father , instead of hiding out in the desert".....
