I like Morrison. I like Cody. I like the clones.

I just don't like that Boba Fett got everything -- literally -- from his Daddy. To me, it screams toys and fan service and all that went wrong with Lucas. Of all of George's mis-creations, even midichlorians, Jango Fett symbolizes the worst of it. A literal "re-paint" within the actual Star Wars movie universe.

The only thing I liked about Jango was seeing what could have been and should have been with Boba Fett. I've imagined Boba flying around in his jetpack while shooting his gun since I was a kid in 1979.

Yeah.. TFA is better made then ROTJ.. But Jedi is a better SW film also..

Yeah I can't stress enough that I don't like the PT other then a cool moment or two. I am just giving them a second chance right now and I am finding some entertainment out of it. But even when I was on my usual full hate mode of the films I still thought they were more SW in feel the TFA. But yea they are still overall garbage.

Never in a million years did I ever think I would defend the PT as much as I have this past day :lol

:lol :lol :lol

First time viewing I did not know how I felt about the tie in with the PT... I mean I spent the last 8 years trying to erase them from my mind and pretend they never happened the way Lucas filmed them.. Then along come RO and says "Yep they really happened" :lol

But it's yet one more reason I think I am giving them another chance.

If I had to pick my biggest problem with TPM it would definately be anything involving the gungans.

Then after that it would be the pod race, it was too childish and it failed to deliver on its importance which was to show why Anakin was the only human that could race in that sport.

Such a long race yet nothing gained for Anakin's character.

I'm ok with Palpatine's background manipulation.

But because the gungans are involved with the climax the movie is trash for me.

AOTC, I can't I just can't so sorry.

ROTS I have warmed up to certain elements while also still finding most of it as difficult to watch as the other 2 lol.

TFA while tv show like in its presentation I just find it to be much smoother to swallow than the PT.

Even though I don't agree with some of your points I will not defend the PT anymore.

I have a reputation to maintain :lol

If I having ruined already lol.

I really liked Maul and wanted more story with him and Qui-gon and Kenobi.

Jye whats the rest of your signature look like

Can RO get any better!

"I think the construction of this station has more to do with governor Tarkin's bid for recognition than any prudent military strategy."

Yeah watching RO for the first time and seeing Jimmy Smits appear pretty early on I thought "uh oh, here we go..." and for the rest of the movie was braced for Hayden Christensen to rear his ugly head as Vader or for him to do something "prequel-ish." Thank God that didn't happen. Now I don't mind Smits (or the Mon Mothma actress from the deleted ROTS scene.) They work great in the movie and their presence doesn't legitimize the prequels in any way for me. It's just Jimmy Smits finally playing the "real" Bail Organa as far as I'm concerned. The fake Bail in the non-canon PT was just a trial run. ;)

However I have no problem with prequel fans appreciating his appearance for their own reasons.

No kidding. Everything that was cool about Fett in the OT (his outfit, his ship, his voice, his gear) was destroyed by Jango. Cool voice? Gone. Ambiguous past? Gone. All of his stuff including his ship? Inherited from his daddy. All in the name of giving us alt.Fett with a new name to trademark and double the figures to sell. Literally one of the worst moves of the entire PT. I *hate* Jango. The only reason I think that anyone actually likes him is due to the fact that if you watch AOTC on mute it kind of looks like a shinier, flashier Boba Fett flying around.

He's not even a good bounty hunter. You get paid to assassinate someone so you pay another assassin to send her *bugs* to do the dirty work? Ugh. Just a terrible character all around.

I'm watching that film Elysium right now and who's in it? None other than Cassian Andor.

Exactly the way I look on it. If it's a good film I'll rationalise PT references this way, if it's a bad film I'm disregarding the whole thing anyway so no biggie

Now in RO they had the capability to go full operational because if they didn't there wouldn't have been any need to have Krennic and Tarkin specifically order the use of only 1 reactor.

Yup he played something similar to Cassian right.

I am highly curious how Hayden would act under this new group of writers and directors.

Yeah the "single reactor" setting in RO was their obvious loop hole to have the DS blowing things up without stepping on the toes of it "demonstrating the full power of this station" against Alderaan.

Yep, permanent built-in prequel deniability. :yess: :lol

Everything that was cool about Fett in the OT (his outfit, his ship, his voice, his gear)

That accurate assessment doesn't do much to make it worth lamenting. Boba Fett's actual character consisted of taking a meeting, following a ship, making a call (off screen), getting alpha-ed by Vader, loading some luggage, UPS-ing, standing around, dying comically at the hand of an unarmed blind man and a hole in the ground. If you believe in the Special Editions he also scratched the chin of a Jellicle Cat.

Which unfortunately conflicts with the "until this station is fully operational" line in ANH.

Maybe there was a break down like it happens with nuclear reactors.

The dangerous to your starfleet line matches up perfectly though because of their ass whooping over Scarif lol.

Now Motti's line of "I suggest we use it" is one of the real glaring problems to RO.

What you say is true (and lol) but he was still a bad ass chilling close to Vader on Bespin.

Eh, that's like saying that "the LOTR is just about people walking." Funny, but not really accurate. Fett and his cronies took over the bridge of the Executor to the chagrin of everyone but Vader. Then he alone guessed Han's almost foolproof escape plan which changed the course of the entire film up to and including the capture of the Falcon, Luke being lured to Cloud City and getting his hand chopped off. Fett was a major architect of all that playing out. Told Vader how pissed he'd be if Han died which prompted constant reassurance that he wouldn't and that if he did he'd make it up to him. ESB Vader! The guy who pretty much threatens to kill anyone else who complains to him. Krennic asked for a favor and came within an inch of death right there on the spot. Lando clutched his throat when Vader asked him if he was being treated unfairly. People *knew* you didn't make demands of Vader. But Fett did. Twice. And still got what he wanted. That's badass.

He also won a staring contest with Lando *through a mask.*

Yes he was a dork in ROTJ but so was everyone, including Han and Vader.

Anyone who can look at these images.....and say this is a better overall film than TFA is obviously still mad that their surrogate daddy Han Solo was killed in it.......

And that a girl got the lead role......

I just cannot believe anyone can be serious about this , and that it is all not just a trolling attempt.

I can understand not liking elements of the new 1/3 of the story line.....but AOTC sucked when it was made, its sucks now, and it is totally superfluous to the PT story line.

You can watch TPM and ROTS and the arc still makes sense...

Silly boys....
