Yeah, Leia is the only woman there.

Also, plot hole. Where is Mon Montha, hmmmm? She was on Yavin in Rogue One like hours before the events of Star Wars right? Why the **** wouldn't she be at the throne room celebration ceremony of all places?

It's like she didn't exist until ROTJ, and Leia was the female leader up until that point . . . thanks Return of the Jedi and Revenge of the Sith!

Also that Clarence Boddicker looking General dude is absent as well.

Give it up, noob. I've already asked and answered those same questions in this very thread. :lecture

How far the mighty have fallen.

psh, gtfo harry potter fanboi

:lol

Scared, Potter?

What were the answers my dear friend? Surely it's the same fan boy mental gymnastics that even the most ardent Prequel fan uses to tie the prequels to the original films.

I'm sorry, the mere existence of characters like K-2SO and General Grievous prove the movies don't connect to the Original Trilogy. Both those dudes are super poseable and can duel with lightsabers, crawl, grab grenades and toss them with super fast reflexes, gun down troopers no problem, etc. There are no limitations to what non-OT droids and cyborgs were capable of. It's the same deal with R2's silly rocket jets that debuted in AOTC. Even something as simple as a pit droid are highly animated.

Could you see any droids from IG-88 to C-3PO doing any of that **** in the originals. No. They were more grounded and limited. Those ****ers could barely hold onto a blaster or comlink even. :lol

That's easy... After the events of RO and K2SO's massacre of all the Storm troopers, the Empire outlawed CGI.

Even droids have their Rey's.

Imagine if there were droids like K-2SO or battle droids in the Original Trilogy. You wouldn't even have to waste human lives. They'd actually be pretty scary, sprinting and jumping around shooting people like the robots in that Will Smith iRobot movie.

Could you imagine if they put Vader's messed up body into a suit like Grievous? Alec Guinness would **** his ****ing diapers as soon as Vader's arms split revealing 4 sabers.

I'm sure there's some kind of in-universe explanation why suddenly droids, Vader, troopers, starships, and weapons are suddenly so primitive, but it's all fan boy nonsense. Why the hell didn't the Empire use those bigger, faster moving ACT-AT's on Hoth instead of the slower pieces of **** they used? Remember when Baze shoots the thing's head with the launcher and it goes all Terminator and shoots it's head back in defiance? ****, a move like that would take General Veers an hour to configure and complete. :lol

Man, even the Erso's moisture vaporators looked more advanced than Uncle Owen's. And don't say that it's because the Lars were poor compared to the Ersos. Luke had a ****ing landspeeder AND a T-16 skyhopper. Most kids on tatoonie were lucky to not be sold into slavery or die before the age of 10.

:lol :lol

All the CGI was rounded up and shot.

I am laughing so much right now reading DiFabio's post.

That **** is Rey level humor!

General Veers, Vader's split arms, defiant At At lol lol lol lol

Erso had advanced robotics tending to his **** lol

Ah, DiFabio, I'm sure you think that your posts are "full of surprises" but they're "all too easy" to refute. :)

You've already countered your own point by the mere mention of IG-88. A character that literally could not function without CGI. Same if they ever wanted to show 2-1B or either of the droids in Jabba's Droid Torture Chamber doing anything more than standing in one place. They wisely fixed those glorified props in place but if they had the technology to make them walk around back then they'd look pretty much exactly like K-2SO. Pretty cool how they "future proofed" the droid designs back then to be more than just guys in suits for all of them.

As for why there weren't K-2 Droids in the OT you can either assume they were off screen or that the Empire caught wind of K-2SO's reprogramming and his vital role in the plans being stolen and instantly decommissioned that entire line of droids on the spot.

I do like that Gareth shunned the ANH:SE by not having any of those little floating droids accompanying the Stormtroopers as they searched Jedha for Bodhi.

Because the slower "AT-AT's" were nearly indestructible compared to the cargo AT-ACT's that were falling like dominoes on Scarif. Like RLM it looks like you've lost it man. :lecture

Wasn't general grevious the last of his kind? reason he coughs so much is cause Mace force choked his boobs.

Grievous as a species? Sure, I think he was the last of his kind.

But that slick mechanical "suit"? Shiieeeet, Dooku and Palpy built that for him and they're probably the wealthiest dudes in the Galaxy. He was like a proto-Vader basically who only had a brain, half of a face and some lungs.

Why didn't Vader get some of that advanced robotic good good? ****ing Palps dressed that poor ****** in some gay Sith looking black outfit with a huge pointless diaper codpiece, black clunky space boots, a chain around his neck, an exposed life support box on his chest and a ****ing mask that's hard to see and talk out of. Grievous? He had CLAWS for feet so he could climbs walls. CLAWS FOR FEET.

What kind of sick, morbid, joke is this,

You have to do better than this. We're talking about the story, not obvious technology and time differences in the filmmaking process. Of course you can make a more advanced Star Wars movie today. That doesn't change the world that was established in the OT, which was quite literally a run down, used universe full of junk that didn't work properly.

Your homework for tonight is to make some better rebuttals. You have 10 hours my boy.

Oh and General Grievous? Please. Get that prequel **** out of here. :lecture

RO is Prequel **** too. K-2SO bro. Jimmy Smitts. BRO.

Why doesn't such a magnificent Droid ever pop back up in the OT? There should be several aboard the Death Star, instead there are some clunky ass mouse droids guarding the halls, afraid of Wookies.

2 K-2SO droids would be far superior guards for the Emperor than a bunch of guards in red KKK dresses with little sticks.

Get outta here Khev, your canon is dead. Bury it.

"If saying it would only make it so."

Bam! You just got Tarkin'd my boy. And CG Tarkin no less. You must be so embarrassed.

*sigh*

Then the DiFabio has already won. You were our last hope.

I'm enjoying your posts here - in fairness though, it seems like you're equally dismissive of arguments from both points of view - both the technological/filmmaking process POV and the in-universe rationalisations and retcon explanations of which Khev has offered up many. Don't ask me to give examples because.....well I'm just not that invested in this debate beyond having the lolz

Yeah I'm just taking DiFabio's posts as tongue in cheek trollings. I think he knows that he otherwise doesn't have much of a leg (CG or otherwise) to stand on. Heck I think he only saw the film the one time while kara snored loudly beside him. He probably doesn't even recall the specifics of most of what we're talking about. ;)

he does have a valid point though, all the movies break cannon according to their technology. i've always wondered if there was a "cannon" reason as well.
