It's amusing in a painful way to watch someone talk about consistency of technology comparing 2 films 40 years apart .

If you cannot understand why the movie had to change to adapt to today's film audience then your lost.....

Why not start complaining about Batman TV series versus 89 versus TDK. Why didn't Batman have Dog repellant? He had shark repellent in the 70's???

Or Battlestar Galactica

Or upcoming Blade Runner, because I am sure we will see things in that that we didn't in the original....

Is DiFabio capable of being a Khev, Jaws, Wor-Gar, a-dev or jye and allow himself to enjoy a at least one new SW movie.

The 5 of us enjoyed RO but have serious reservations about TFA.

But we have embraced RO as a legitimate prequel that can proudly take its place next to the OT.

So what makes DiFabio different than us 5?

We're all super SW fans regardless if we're a 501st member or not.

What will it take for you DiFabio to finally accept a new SW movie.

Careful, I'm still not convinced that DiFabio's earlier posts were meant to be taken seriously. I think he's fishing and was hoping that I'd take more of his bait. You might end up getting more than you're bargaining for.

I think he's just mad that Batman sucks now and is lashing out at any franchise he can. Not sure why though, I mean he's got Batman 89 for nostalgia, TDK for quality, and then BvS's warehouse scene. He should be every bit as happy and content as us OG SW fans.

TDKR couldn't have messed him up that bad, could it??

Regarding SW, is he even that big of a fan? I know he's got those new 6 inchers, a cover perhaps? Has he even watched SW or ESB in the past five years? Ten even?

I'm just sowing the seeds of discontent. I've already left some nuggets in these posts for someone like Jye to parrot later on when this discussion inevitably pops back up.

That's the thing Khev fails to understand. Memes. He just can't get into memetic warfare. While he's going on about how the canon works, I'm subverting the topic with zingers like General Grievous' claw feet, or Erso's ****ing moisture vaporators. So now, when this petty argument about canon rears it's ugly head again, I won't even need to make a post. Jye, a-dev, Zach, whoever, will inevitably recall our original convo we had without even thinking and do battle against the likes of Khev and xipotec, making them go into a foaming frenzy while I sit back and lol.

That's not all. Now when you watch these movies, you'll be thinking about what we discussed. When you watch Star Wars, you won't be thinking "wow, this matches up perfectly with RO", oh no, you'll be thinking about what good ole' DiFabio said and how it actually doesn't connect at all. You'll be looking for K2SO's and asian rebels in the backgrounds of your favorite scenes and then realize that THEY AREN'T THERE. You'll ask yourself why, why would they do this to me. Then you'll remember what D said and take comfort in my words. In the end, I've been playing 5D chess with a flippable backgammon board while Khev has been merely playing checkers.

Now, I need some rest. Between cutting grass, mulching and having these forum wars with my inferiors, I'm beat. I need to save my energy for the TLJ and Han Solo wars in an effort to convince this board, no, THE WORLD, that there are only two legitimate Star Wars movies.

You'll be looking for K2SO's and asian rebels in the backgrounds of your favorite scenes and then realize that THEY AREN'T THERE. You'll ask yourself why, why would they do this to me.

This is perfect movie/message board harmony. On the one hand we've got a nearly flawless 10/10 SW film worthy of the OT that absolutely cannot be disputed and yet on the other hand we still get to enjoy the hilarity of posts like this one here. The way DiFabio is weaving his own genuinely negative feelings against RO with these little troll comments is genuinely good stuff. Reminds me of the "male activist" back and forth between crows and batfan08 a litte while back.

The thing about these back and forths with DiFabio is that it's all about who blinks first. And he blinked *big time* when he lost it after I compared RO to ALIENS and Edwards to Cameron. Bam. His defense grid was smashed. I won. But now all he can do is go back into the past and systematically bring up these old nitpicks that have already been debunked in a vain effort to engage me. (See how easily Cameron and SW are intertwined? ) But my RO canon and apologism is not only intricate but impenetrable and what makes them so clever is that they don't require a shred of proof.

crows was Team RO if I remember correctly, I believe Gaspar and Prince both chose the way of pain. As for my conversation with kara at the top of that bell tower where he was going off about how forgettable RO was, well, I'm sure he made it down okay. No one has seen him? That's strange.
