I thought the trailer was fine. They don't want to give too much away I'm guessing. If it were me. I would have ended the trailer with a light saber coming out from a hilt and then show Vader slashing someone. Would have been great.

This trailer has me stoked. Loved some of the cinematography in it - the tie-fighter rising up in front of the lead character - looks great. Digging some of the new stormtrooper designs too.

Visual and scale wise it already won.
That shot of the death star eclipse of the sun.
That shot of the Star Destroyer over the mountain making no sense how it's remaining in the air.
That shot of the quad wing shuttle that was never to be seen again in any of the sequels.
That stare by that Grand Admiral Thrawn rip off.

Well the prequels had good visuals too but they were followed by bad dialog and stale acting sooo

Can't wait to see this, a Star Wars movie set in the proper time of the OT with Vader!! What's not to love.... ..... My only complaint would be that Disney has to put their mark on everything and has created too much new stuff for this movie that we've never seen before in the OT... But you gotta sell lots of new toys since historically the merchandising makes even more $$$ than the movie!! Looking more forward to this more than TFA.
If any Star Wars fans think Suicide Squad was actually a good movie and not just "entertaining" as I felt, then this will be a masterpiece.

The visuals in RO look pretty real, love the DS stuff as well.
People (not you) on this site will complain about anything. Personally, I liked everything they showed us, especially the new robot.
Others bring up the ultra-diversity issue, considering what is likely to happen, seems like the minorities in this movie are getting the shaft by being stuck with a ****** assignment.

That's true.. All the other movies focused more on a characters evolution as a Jedi (mainly Luke, Anakin & Rey) and the Force than the actual war going on. This is the 1st movie not revolving around the Jedi(s). Hope it is more of a war movie.

My gut feeling is that this will be the best Star Wars movie since Empire. I'm more excited for this than I was for Ep VII, and I did enjoy TFA.

I really want it to end with this.
Well this takes place before ANH . So It won't end with Vader finding out about Luke being his son, because he didn't know about Luke in ANH so I'm thinking it could end with Leia getting the Death Star plans and maybe preparing the journey to deliver the plans
