Re: S.H.Figuarts IronMan

Civil war cap looks kinda meh.... with the exception of a few new head sculpts, its basically the same suit. If you already have the age of ultron cap, you may wanna have a second thought on this one.

I agree...his head sculpt looks like a distorted Chris Evans with a huge shnoz. I'll keep my AoU one.

Re: S.H.Figuarts IronMan

It's a re-paint of AoU Cap with the exception of a two new head sculpts which is okay I guess. What was the process called? Printing-the-face-on-the-sculpt? There's too few pics about the unmasked version, wished SHF fixes the head sculpt.

Re: S.H.Figuarts IronMan

I suppose they just got approval to release informations about the CW products hence they used a stand in prototype for the head.

Happens to their previous products, we'll see a updated version somewhere nearer to the release date.

Digital coloring, first used on the SHF Michael Jackson with good response. Hence the continuity.

Hopefully that happens and gives me more of a reason to pre order him. Thanks for that Auel, yeah that gave way to Bruce Lee, Freddie Mercury and Star Wars.

Re: S.H.Figuarts IronMan

A couple questions.
1) Ironman is the only Figuarts with diecast right? Oh and Batman.
2) Think Bandai will make Ironman model kits like they did with Star Wars 1/12?

Need to find a Bruce Lee...

Re: S.H.Figuarts IronMan

Does anyone know how the Revoltech Iron Man figures scale with Bandai/Figma? Are there any standout Revoltech iron man figures that are as close in detail to the Figuarts stuff?

I just bought Revoltech Ultron to go with Figuarts Iron Man, Thor, Hulk and Cap. It's a little small but still works IMO.

Go back a few pages and you'll see some Revol stuffs with Tamashii's.

If anyone is interested in getting the Revoltech Ultron to pair with their AOU ones. I'd say it's pretty close.

Not even close. I liked their Mk II, III, IV and V figures when they were first released but SHF have upped the game so far I sold them all off a few months back. They just don't stand the comparison.

The new Ultron looks to be a different story though, they seem to have adopted more modern sculpting methods to make a more symmetrical figure.

Re: S.H.Figuarts IronMan

I have 6 revoltech iron man figures. They don't really matchup to figuarts quality wise, but are the same size. The mark I revoltech is pretty good. Others are just decent. I got the revoltech ultron which fits in nicely with the figuarts.

That's a very cool process. I can see some neat applications for it. I wish I was better at the 3D/tech side of the art world...

This. All Revoltech Iron Man, while okay, are barely comparable to the quality work that Bandai has been putting out for their SHF line. That said, the Revoltech Ultron is a marked improvement from a lot of their past work, so much so that it actually looks to fit in with the SHF Avengers.

Hey where's that figuarts Tony Stark pic?
