It will become relevant pretty quickly when enough customers don't see the value in the ever increasing Sideshow pricing structure. There's a lot of competition for collectible dollars these days. Also those $15 oranges cost more for the company when they sit in their warehouse for months and months unsold or require discounted prices to move them all.
and that is the "sweet spot" I am referring to - the elasticity of demand or something like that from my grade 9 economics class.
SS wants that "equilibrium" where they can maximize profits. They can and will continue to raise prices and edition sizes until enough people stop buying.
The deck is in their favour as these are entirely emotional purchases and there is no real competition...yet, although that is thankfully beginning to change.
