yeah, I'm not very good at taking pics. But if you notice in pic 2 the ribcage is completely missing off the base, and the helmet that covers the bottom jaw section on the skull is missing (broken off) one side. I just placed the ribcage on the base for the best effect for pics.

Already contacted Sideshow, will let me know today what they're going to do.

Thanks everyone for "feeling my pain" lol. Will post some dimensions later this morning. (figure still at office. couldn't wait to open it at home.)

If Sauron himself is not damaged, think of it as a "remarqued" version, since only yours will have broken bones the way that they are. In the art, I imagined that Sauron's very presence was the cause of nothing but the skeletal remains to survive. Of course, he was glad to tread over his fallen victims, crushing their bones in his wake. I'm planning to custom paint mine anyway, so perhaps I'll rearrange some bones while I'm at it. My two cents : )

Mine is out for delivery. Only thing is I'm home only till 4 and my Internet is down and will be down for days. I will take photos by iphone(I'm typing from it now). I just don't know if It is possible to put them on the forum by phone?

You should be able to upload them to the photobucket app and then just paste the code in. That's what I do when I take shots with my phone.

What are you plans for your custom paint? Are you going to dry brush some silver on the armor? I'm kind of thinking of doing that but I don't know.

When I have time, I am first considering creating a slightly concave background "wall" behind him, far enough not to cast a shadow. Then, repaint my original art background on this "wall" to give some mood. After that, I may tweak and add a few things just to suit my own taste. The armor looks awesome, but I do plan to tweak it a little to closer resemble what is on my artwork. Then again, I may never get to it : (

Hey JV, do you have a copy of your masterpiece in polystone?

I am really looking forward to seeing what you do.

I have to ask, how does it feel to have something that was originally in your head come alive in 3D form that hundreds of people around the world are going to enjoy and love as a center piece to their collection?

Interesting way to look at it. In the end I agree with you that even with the damage I have I does not reduce the impact from this masterpiece.
Just let down that something with this price tag arrived less than perfect.

Just for reference, the actual dimensions (as well as I could measure) are: for the base - 22 1/2 in. wide by 13 in. deep ("footprint")

Sauron complete - 35 in. ht, 23 1/2 in wide (approx to end of mace), and 22 in deep (approx to end of mace).

Hope this helps Fremen.:)

It's a real blessing. I hope to collaborate with creative folks again in this way!

#73 In the House. Here are some box shots, will open him shortly. It looks like they have him suspended with foam so the art box is not in contact with the shipper box for some added protection.
