Just got a email from Sideshow's support , they can't replace my broken body, they're offering a full refund!! Wtf?!

That's bull****! Particularly since you can take that full refund and just preorder a brand new one...

That concerns me for getting my scepter replaced. The cornerstonecomics is talking to them today about it. I better get my damn scepter.
 
anyone else try boxing him back up yet? I'm moving, and there seems to be a pretty big flaw in the box styro design towards the upper part of the torso, unless it's just me, but the only way I see I can get it to fit properly is to completely smash it against the body.
 
that would defn explain all the breakage of the diamond pieces and neck trim. I see no other way to get this to close than to smash it down, which risks breakage. Big fail
 
Maybe it's because they have to send a huge box and don't want to pay for the shipping? If they offer a full refund and he rebuys he has to pay shipping again
 
I think if they are out of alloted replacements that's alls left. Just order another one. I was told the same thing with my Galactus. No replacement but they had them for order. I took the refund and didn't bother ordering another since its open edition.

I boxed mine back up since I don't have a display area built yet. I didn't notice any issue closing him back up.

They are out of galactus replacements? Damn. I don't get mine until march. Better be a good one.

Kind of ****ty because so many replacements are used on early and ultra finicky adopters who ***** and moan about the tiniest flaws and get replacements, and then people get broken **** they can't get replaced. So some guy smashes a big statue and takes a replacement because of some less than perfect paint (hand painted is always less than perfect), and someone with a broken body doesn't get crap. I love that sideshow is so good about replacing things, but perhaps they should be a little less lenient on what they are willing to replace on such huge purchases that likely have fewer replacements available.

Yea, but does he have to return it? If so they pay shipping either way, so don't understand why they are saying that.

Sounds as odd as running out of replacements for the Master Chief (not saying they have, just example), yet we get more Red and Blue versions coming. :slap

They may be in limbo with replacement batch not in yet from China. This happened to me before, they are out then months later guys report they are getting replacements again. Can't imagine they could be out when they still have them for sale and more are sure to need replaced.
 
I responded to his email about my discontent and i already got news from him . He said he has no choice to proceed quickly to a full refund to reorder a new one. He cannot guarantee a replacement body and if we are waiting too long, I could miss the chance to get another one.
Well, I'm fine with that.

So do you have to return the rest? It would be a shame or order another one and something be wrong with the new one when you have good parts sitting right there.

I think so, he booked me a RMA and he said I will receive more instructions soon to proceed with the refund.

Yeah, hope the new one will be fine . Like you said, would be bad to get a defect base while I had one in perfect condition.
 
Having this piece is making all my other stuff seems like cheap crap. It's kind of bothering me lol. Making me want to sell lots of it.

That's why I would never spend a dime on a doll. Hate to say, they usually are cheap crap. The folks that spend $500+ on a 1:6 doll are literally throwing money into the wind.

But hey, whatever gets people off...
