I pick him up tommorow! VERY excited, but I also hope he survived the UPS shipping since I have seen some of the issues that have happened. His spot is WIDE open, and ready for his arrival. I will be going on vacation so I will take pictures when I get back, and get the whole display with Print and Lights.

He looks friggen amazing, but I sadly have 2 small issues with broken pieces. They are not by any means super giant breaks, but one is a piece that looks like it just fell out of its peg cause of not enough glue (Easy Fix). The other one is his middle finger broke off cleanly =/ it is a EASY fix with some glue, and it should not even be noticable when fixed. I do not know if I should first contact SSC, and see if they are willing to give me a slight refund for the broken parts, I do not want to return him as I feel like the problems will not even effect the statue once fixed.

The positive is that the paint app is friggen perfect from what I could tell after the first scan. I got a somewhat muted orange glow, so it is not as overpowering as I have seen on some. The armor does look a little dull, but itdoes not bother me.

This is a amazing statue when he is all put together! aside from the small breaks, I could not be more happy with my purchase, and feel lucky nothing more serious happened to it during its shipping journey. I will repair it, and get around to taking some pictures as soon as I can with him in his display area.

Man, I am sooo trying to resist getting this. Trying to justify to myself that the price isn't worth it for a statue. I already have GtG EX, Morgul, DROM, Gollum and Saruman EX on PO.

It took me a long time to finally make the decision to hit that purchase button recently, but I do not regret it at ALL now that he is in hand. I love a lot of the LOTR statues, but Sauron just feels in a class of his own. The sculpted details are just amazing from the base to the man himself, and the cloth is just enough mixed media to not distract from the sculpt itself. The paint job could obviously have gone a different directon, but placed at the right angle, and displayed with the proper lights really makes it a beautiful thing.

He will be the piece to own for large scale LOTR collections in the years to come IMO.

Congrats! Sorry to hear about the issues. I agree that you're better off just fixing it yourself and getting a credit - especially if it's as minor as you say.

Sauron's totally worth it, plus you already have The ML and DR. I wouldn't trade my Mordor PF Power Trio for anything.

I love this statue! I know it may still be that he his NEW, but I keep looking at him whenever I go past him! He just is so amazing looking, and I keep seeing, and finding new details I did not notice the last time. The base is just amazing when you see it up close, I love all the detail in the armor, and skulls. These 30'+ statues are addicting that is for sure.

Congrats on the pickup! Like others have said, you should contact Sideshow. You shouldn't have to settle for a damaged item.

I know what you mean. We'll be watching TV and my gaze just starts to drift over to Sauron. The base is the icing on the cake for me and really puts this piece over the top in terms of awesomeness!
