Thanks for posting the link, Jess... I cannot wait to see this film!

Unfortunately, I'm going to lose my job at my theater before it opens. :(

If they can make appliances that work so well for "The Walking Dead" shows on AMC, why couldn't they do the same for a Planet of the apes movie or television show? Come on AMC, lets get it done!

Hello to everyone today. I wanted to know if anyone might have a
headscupt of Dodge for sale or know where I can get one. I am trying to get my astronauts on.

Hmmmm........
Yes that would be cool to see.
Or, perhaps a well done CGI version voiced by the remaining TV cast. Hell, Ron Harper is hardly seen and if Naughton can do Cialis voiceovers....

Since this is one of the nicest groups in the forum, I thought I would show one of my crazy custom ideas.

It is ok to laugh. I did. :wink1:

I am replacing some old Sideshow bodies and took this picture "for the ladies."

No reason to laugh. The Rick Baker makeup may well be the one saving grace of that film. And, it does lend to more variety. Where did that head originate?

:)

I do know we have to be careful talking about "that" disappointing film. Keep in mind I wasn't trying to go for that film look. ;) (BTW, I am a big fan of Rick Baker's work.)
I bought the orangutan figure to stand next to my custom Rise Caesar. I thought that the head could almost work for a custom with minimal effort, so I purchased another one.

$14 here:

Thanks for the comments.

hmmmmm, I wonder how that gorilla would fare under customization?
I also wonder if these are the apes that Alayasha over on the OSW used for his wonderful customs?

Thanks so much for the link!
Those customs are so awesome.

Here is how that toy gorilla head looks on my work in progress:

I reworked using Hot Toys bodies so I can pop the head off and move it to my Hot Toys Gorilla Soldiers.

Thanks again for the comments everyone.

I am still selling my Planet of the Apes items on ebay and wanted to share my latest entry. This exclusive prisoner Taylor is really clean with a very nice head sculpt, outfit, dirty feet, spiked club, and black gorilla police rifle. I opened the box once to check out the figure and make sure that the joints were in tact, which they are. What a grade A figure to own. Thanks, Kent.

Hmmmm, how easily did that seperate from the body?

I heated it up with a blow dryer and used an Exacto knife to remove the head.

The head looks a bit larger in the photos, than in person.

With left over putty from other projects, I am slowing filling in the back of the head- it could take a little while.
