We just cleared out my Grandmas house, and apparently my Grandpa had some sort of really long taser type thing that looks like a caddle prod. I guess he used it back in the day as a cop . I thought that thing would work pretty good, maybe need to try it out. That's why I wouldn't use a taser, you have to get too close, and if you don't kill it, it's gonna jump on your face like a little facehugger.

This is the one my wife has and came out of the bedroom with when my daughter screamed because of the scorpion.

But it seems to me that my wife's is a few inches longer than this one. Also, the one she has has metal contact strips down the side on the business end so that if someone tries to grab it away from her...

I found the one my wife has at a local military surplus store. And it was a while ago. I don't know if they still make them. If they don't it is a shame. Those things are awesome.


I felt bad because I demonstrated it in the bedroom, my wife, two kids and the dog were in there. I let it pop one time and the dog ran out of the room and the kids broke out in tears.

I think the two that were trying to mate with each other are males...

I have three total. One I am 100% certain is a female..and two that I am pretty sure are males..

Nick, if you're still having that scorpion problem at your house, you could purchase a chicken and let it roam in your backyard. I've been told it's not illegal or needing any special permit although you may want to check with HOA if you have one, they'll eat insects including scorpions, and you could probably get a fresh egg every morning. I think you only need to give it water and a little bit of seed, and probably a small coop/dog house.

That's what a co-worker does and he keeps telling me to do it. Problem is, my dog would probably kill it.

so my backyard is full of Wasps making nests,
so there was this little bucket in my yard, and a Wasp was making a nest, I killed the wasp with some Raid, and then when Iwent to destroy the nest, it was full of spiders... WHAT the F___

so the wasp was making her nest on top of an existing spider nest....
there was like 8 spiders in there, some little bright green ones, and some reddish ones, they weren't moving but.... I am considering buying a Hazmat suit and a flamethrower by now... I might torch my backyard now...

I spent 4 hours cleaning out my garage the other day and it was a like a spider haven....took out about 50 of them...I didn't discriminate....I killed them...I killed them all....not just the men...but the women..and the children.

It was probably a Mud Dauber nest. They catch and sting spiders and keep them paralyzed in the nest so their young can feed on them when they hatch.

checked some pics online and I think that's what it is, very bizarre, I never knew they did that and didn't expect to see 9 spiders popping out of there, definitely freaky,

According to Wikipedia, mud daubers primarily feed on black widows.

Found a young female and male black widow couple in the garage...I want to breed them.
