I get wind scorpions like this one (but much smaller) in my house all of the time. These things are fast. I read that they can move as fast as ten miles an hour. I pretty much doubt that...but I have seen them at escape velocity and they are fast!

The Sun Spider/Wind Scorpion/Camel Spider (choose your moniker) is not venomous. But they pack a mean bite. They are a psuedo-scorpion. The two front legs are more like scorpion claws but are used like antennas. You should see close-ups of the jaws (I'll try to find a pic). There is a video on youtube showing one that is half the size of the one in that picture killing a mouse.
