SDCC LOTR 1/6th Figure Guess

Figured we hadn't played this game in a long time, so...

So Gandalf we know is the SDCC LOTR PF... but they wouldn't release a 1/6th Gandalf too...

So who the heck is the new 1/6th figure?

Saruman?
Nazgul?
Arwen?

Wheeeeeeel. As I said in the other thread, I hope its either Gimli or a villain (Saruman or Worm Tongue would make me happy). But even though there is a Gandalf PF coming out (and a bust now too ) I still am hoping against hope that it will be a 1:6 GTG.

A Gandalf bust and PF AND 1/6th Gandalf the White? Impossible I say. Hmmm... maybe.

If they did Gimli, I'd be stoked, but then they could do Hobbits... and I don't think they're there yet. I will hope though.

I suppose if they offered several 1/6 figures, then Gandalf is possible.

Maybe its a 3-pack of Nazgul for $160.

I'm with pixletwin here...I think it should be Gandalf the Grey.

I'd love a Ringwraith or Lord Elrond soon as well...

...and isn't it long overdue for a lady in this line? Arwen comes to mind....

For my tastes, I would like Eowyn or Galadriel to be the first LOTR broad. We need someone that was a bigger player to be the next 1:6

I think the figure I want most next would be Gandalf the Grey... but I don't think we'll have the Summer of Gandalf, but who knows, Sideshow might just be that crazy.

Barring that I think a Nazgul would be sweet, and the threesome is a great idea.

I don't think we'll see any short figures this year, I could see that being an announcement at maybe the 2008 Toy Fair or SDCC.

And secretly I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for a 1/6 Sauron

Sauron isn't a bad guess really. I'd consider him Jabba big as far as 1/6 announcements go.

A lot of tooling for that fig. Would need a taller body too really. I doubt that's the winner. I would think Gandalf.

I'd like to see Gandalf the Grey to counter the 1/4 piece.

As for likely candidates, I'm thinking Eomer or Theoden, they're fairly prominent but not main, much like Boromir and Faramir, and I have a feeling it'd be someone outside of the Fellowship but from more action involved sequences and continuing the recent line of well made, intricate wardrobes.

I am guessing if they do Sauron it will be more statue-like like jabba.IDK. He would be a jabba sized surprise.

That would be a shame if they didn't give Sauron proper articulation.

I wouldn't bank on a Sauron ever coming in the 1/6 line, or at least not any time soon, for as little as you see him in body form, and the unique scale, articulated body that would be required to make him, it wouldn't be a good investment on their part. There's really no other character in any line they could use that big a body for, so they'd have to put the time to develop it and make it and all for one character of little screen time. As a business, it's a better choice for them to stick with the characters that will work with already made 1/6 bodies that can be used repeatedly and had more screen presence.
