Oooh I know! They're gonna come out of left field with a character that wasn't even in the movie...Tom Bombadil.:monkey3

No Sauron ever in the 1/6 line. We have the statue - and if you don't - want to buy one?

I wouldn't be surprised if the single, lone, solitary 1/6 LotR figure to be announced this year is Eomer or Elrond.

I would like to see Eomer or Saruman honestly. I'd really like to see Gimli but I think he's down the line at somepoint before I retire from teaching.

The Sauron statue was roughly 1:6 scale wasn't it?

No, I think it was actually closer to 1:4th. I mean it's as big as freaking Lurtz and heavier too.

Wouldn't Sauron be like 3-4 feet taller than Lurtz in scale though, in the film I swear it looked like Sauron was like 10-12 feet tall.

Yes but the 1:4 scale Lurtz is as big as the Sauron statue which woudn't be 1:6 scale then but...oh man...my head is starting to hurt.:D

How tall is Sauron in the film anyways?

The Sauron statue is like 2ft tall. So it may be in 1:6th but it's as big as a 1:4 piece. :lol

That's why I made the comment about the R&D to make a body that scale and it only being useful for this character, even Chewbacca isn't that tall.

The SS/W Sauron is 1/6 scale, but is as large as PF. If they ever make a 1/6 Prologue Elf or that first ringie guy I'll just pose him with the Sauron statue.

I'm pretty sure SDCC will be the place for them to unveil the new bodies with either Gimli or Frodo--the two most well-known little folk. But I'll go on a limb and guess at seeing at least 2 figures, Gandalf the Grey being the other one.

I'll play! If given a choice, I would want Gandalf as well. However, with a bust and a PF, I agree that he is a long shot. My first though based on the figures introduced so far would be a member of the Fellowship, which would mean one of the hobbits (most likely Frodo) or Gimli (who would be my second choice after Gandalf). But then I remembered (don't ask me how I forgot, I have no idea) that the last figure was Faramir and not a member of the Fellowship, so that kind of leaves it open. My gut tells me Gimli, but there is that nagging bit about Sideshow staying away from armored figures. An orc or Uruk Hai would be cool, but I think I'd rather have the members of the Fellowship first.

All that being said, I'm gonna cross my fingers for Gimli.

I think its about time we had one of the bad guys, so I'm guessing Ringwraith (although Saruman would be a possible too). What I would really like, however, is Theoden or Eomer...

What i really want is a Rohan Royal Guard, those guys looked amazing. Saruman would be a sweet figure or a Gandalf as hes so iconic.
