SDCC LOTR 1/6th Figure Guess

The line is not dead--this I know. Trust me, soon enough all shall see why this wait was necessary. Have hope!

1/6 LOTR will see a Gandalf (G hopefully but possibly W) and the first in the smaller bodies--- Frodo? A slightly bulkier Gimli?

I think the most logical choice is for a Ringwraith. Why? I'd be willing to bet it would be the best-seller, by far, of the 1:6 LOTR line, because not only does Strider need someone to fight, but people would buy multiples of them.

I'd buy two or three, and some of you nuts out there would buy nine. Especially if they made a steed for them.

Exclusive accessory could be attachable hood-on-fire flames, or alternately could be the helmeted version from the final battle. ;D

Saruman or a Ringwrath if its a villain and Elmer or Elrond if its a hero. Also I think we'll only get one 1/6 announced as well...

If it's only 1 figure annouced, I hope it's Gandalf the Grey. Saruman would also be welcomed.

But if it is Frodo and they announce the smaller body it could really breathe some new life into this line.

As long as it isn't a second or third tier character like Grima, Eomer, Denethor, Arwen or Eowyn I'll be happy.

But I can already feel the post SDCC blues. SS announces & shows 1 figure, then we wait another month or two for it to preorder, then another 6-8 months waiting for it to ship. In the meantime, no new announcement for figures or their plans for the future of the line. I hope it's not the case. I hope they are working hard to release figures in a more timely fashion as they mentioned before and we won't see another 200+ day gap between announcements. Whatever the future may hold for this line, I don't think I'll be satisfied unless they complete the Fellowship.

I'll be disappointed if we don't see a Gandalf the Grey. I think we'll see a second figure, but it won't be something quite as predictable, maybe an Eowyn? I'd really love to see a Ringwraith.

I'm sure SDCC will have something people will want and will be impressed by. Of course, now that Faramir is out, it'll take a lot to get me that excited again--like Frodo or Gandalf the Grey. Still, I would die to see Sideshow take on Saruman's costume!

I doubt it. I think we won't hear/see anything from the 12" line until SDCC.

really, really excited about seeing these!!! hopefully it isn't too long of a wait between pre-order and delivery though. . . the wait has been long and painful enough without adding that! so, how long before we see some more detailed pictures? cannot wait to see these guys!!!

I hope they introduce a new set of bodies. Maybe we will get a Frodo and Sam along with maybe a couple of Jawas from Star Wars.

I wish Gandalf the Grey was coming out but I just dont see that one now with the new announcement.

Maybe we will get Eowyn or Arwen.

That picture looks like a bit of a cheat to me -- looks like they used 2 Frodos. Check out the face - same angles. But the ultimate idea is there.

I think you are right, and the Sam body doesn't look heavier, in fact, he looks downright skinny! Even if it isn't a "true" prototype, I am still really excited to finally see a figure that has a unique body type. Gives me hope for all those weirdly proportioned figures from Star Wars too!
