Crap! I thought there may have been a secret ending.... But I thought Stryker walking down the road was it

Care to share what the secret ending was??????? :D

Do remember after the credits of masters of the universe with Dolf Lungred, or how ever you spell his name ? Well ones a bit like that :D

I saw one on youtube of Weapon XI/Deadpool (whatever) reaching out of the rubble for his severed head. Don't know if there are anymore.

What is up with the Stryker ending? Totally pointless....

Re: Seen the full feature version of Wolverine!

I saw the "Wolverine" after credits ending when I
saw the movie yesterday. It's a scene of him
at
a bar drinking shots of whiskey and the Japanese
female bartender asks him (with subtitles) if he's
American. He says, "I'm Canadian...I think."
and she fills another shot.
She asks, "Are you drinking to forget?" He downs
the shot and says, "No...I'm drinking to remember."
Fade to black.

There is another ending, as well, with
Deadpool.
The scene starts in the rubble on Three Mile
Island. It pans up and you see one of Deadpool's
arm blades slowly retract into his forearm. After
that, his fingers flex and the camera follows his
arm as it drags itself toward something. That
something turns out to be his severed head.
His hand touches the head and it's eyes open
and it looks at the scene and (with it's unsewn
mouth) goes, "Shhhhh!"

I guess it's all in the luck of the draw which print
you get to see and which ending. Both are really
neat and kind of set up future installments.

You can see both endings on Youtube, but the
quality is horrible and there's always some idiot
swearing in the background.

Re: Seen the full feature version of Wolverine!

Well great, for all who haven't read the character, I can understand how you can come out of this movie saying it was a popcorn fun flick no worse than any other of it's kind.

But for me, a person who likes the Wolverine character as I have read him... what can I say? He is an animal, scary to be around, somewhat unpredictable, feral at times, animal/man. He doesn't get a normal girlfriend/boyfriend relationship because he is such a misfit. Short, too hairy, certainly not J.Crew catalog handsome, short tempered, brutish, unkempt, etc... For me, I see this movie and wonder when is Wolverine going to show up and kick this pretty boy's @ss. So they made a movie that basically alienates most of the fans that have been reading for forever wishing for a Wolverine brought to life on the screen.

When does that movie come out?

When me and Manglord win the lottery and start making our own movies.

The scene that really sums this movie up for me was when he was in the car with his trophy girlfriend and he clumsily has to say the "I'm the best at what I do, and what I do isn't very nice." line. He's saying this in the car, in passing conversation, to his girlfriend. Oooo he's so butch. I guess she likes the pretty 'bad boy' type.

See I was under the impression that most people in the forum have read alot of the comic books, and of various lines, and while the film wasn't amazing by any stretch of the imagination the thing that most of us can agree on is that Schriber was a good Sabretooth and Jackman is a great Wolverine. Just because he isn't short and ugly shouldn't cloud your view to the wider spectrum of story telling and acting ability. Ever read the Ultimate X-Men? Wolverine is tall and handsome in that. Creative license is important. The film doesn't have to represent the comic entirely. They are fictional characters who have multiple representations, all you have to do is see their traits portrayed on screen. Everyone can tell its Wolverine (thanks to claws and Jackman's decent portrayal of dialogue) so should it matter if he isn't 100% accurate?

If it does, don't watch the film, and instead watch the cartoon, where they will try and get it as close to comically accurate as possible.

I thought Jackman was great, and he captured the out of place, animal trying to be human thing well. Plus, it's obvious he was going to be in the film. If you didn't like him in the last 3 films, why would you start now?

it must suck to be you.

Re: Seen the full feature version of Wolverine!

Saw the movie 2 times. In The Netherlands it was already out on the 28th of april.
First time thought it was cool although it wasn't true to the comics. Second time I had more time to pay attention to the details and was actually dissapointed. Lot of scenes that didn't really have meaning like Gambit getting punched down and 2 minutes later jumping of the roof. Looked great but wth?

I must say that Sabretooth was the best character in the movie. Liev really made
Sabretooth look like the animal that he is even when he wasn't bigger than Wolverine and the only things that made him recognizable as Sabretooh were the teeth the sideburns and the claws.
Gambit was alright. All the others were good. Especially in the beginning of the movie Wade was awesome. Reynolds really played Deadpool the way it's supposed to be.

Overall the movie wasn't bad, but do I think it was that much better than the X-Men movies? Not really.

Re: Seen the full feature version of Wolverine!

saw it last week. wasn't as bad as i'd feared. but neither was it a good movie.

the special effects were friggin AWFUL!! esp the scene where wolvie inspects his claws in the bathroom. the claws looked like they were pencil drawn or something. wtf. :banghead

and there were just too many idiotic things in there that i tried to overlook but couldn't. or rather, the film makers didn't even bother to address, and i couldn't help but notice. example: when logan's skeleton is laced with adamantium, his jagged, conical, irregularly-shaped bone claws are miraculously replaced by slender, perfectly symmetrical, perfectly straight metal knives. it certainly didn't look like the adamantium enveloped his claws, or they would've looked irregular too. so where the heck did his bone claws go??

and yeah, the "adamantium bullet" amnesia plot device is just plain stupid.

i know all this sounds like fanboy nitpicking, but it really isn't. it's a symptom of what's wrong with this movie. not enough thought was put into it. it was a rushed project meant solely as a cash cow.

but in spite of all that, i still managed to somewhat enjoy the movie, or at least most portions of it.

Re: Seen the full feature version of Wolverine!

Yup, it really sucks knowing what you like. But my Wolverine movie would actually be a really scary and unsettling one that let you know what it's like to stand in the same room with someone they called "phsyco" in the books. You would also know what a berserker is. You can go right ahead and take a dump on your basement floor, stick some kitchen knives into it and call it your Wolverine... just be ok with some thinking it looks like poop with knives in it.

I would like to see Rob Zombie make a Wolverine movie.

Jackman is not Wolverine for me. He is a money maker for the movie though no doubt, and your money is as good as all the girls who walk in on the edge of orgasm, for Wolverine.

"Just because he isn't short and ugly shouldn't cloud your view to the wider spectrum of story telling and acting ability.

It doesn't, I don't like the story either, or most of the dialog. Acting, well I like Jackman fine in other movies. But casting is almost a lost art these days. I thought casting for LOTR was just about perfect. But I think some of you would be happy with Rush Limbaugh playing the next Captain America, as long as he has a shield.

So why did you watch the Xmen movies and Origins since you already knew that this wolverine was too soft for your taste...? :lol

Couldn't agree more....I also thought these scenes were poorly done

1. After finding out that Silverfox was alive Wolverine simply decides to leave (what about Sabretooth and Stryker??). He then rushes back when he hears Silverfox's scream.....just bad writing

2. Wolverine overhearing Stryker's plot and escaping :lol

3. Stryker entering commands on the computer to control Weapon XI.....come on Fox you can do better than that. "Decapitate"??? Is he playing a videogame or something?

Overall it just felt rushed when compared to the Marvel produced films, Ironman and Hulk.

It was a free passsss. Also, I think alot of people can understand how it can be fun to watch a bad movie.

I liked some of what I saw in the first two Xmen movies, Wolvie aside, and I knew there would be serious eye candy. I liked some of the casting in those movies too. But mostly I go to these movies because they are all there is if I want to see live action comics and I love the moments where I feel they nail it.

yeah, that allways struck me as dumber than moosepoop. Especialy when they comic book explanation makes so much more sense.
for those of you that don't know, Wolverines healing factor is a double edged sword. it heals ANY wound he gets, and this includes mental wounds. Memories that are too painful are "healed" and he forgets them as they are literaly erased from his mind.
Taking this a little further, the "memory implants" he has came from a very, VERY simple mechanic. they would shoot him in the head, and while he was healing, they would read a script to him of what they WANTED him to remember, showing him a few pictures, and let his imagination fill in the blanks. He also recieved all those "implants" before he got his adamantium.

Re: Seen the full feature version of Wolverine!

I'm gonna go watch this tomorrow in the afternoon. But I'm keeping my expectation low on this one.

Re: Seen the full feature version of Wolverine!

I got the Harry Gregson-Williams score.
I think it's pretty dam good and the Workprint must have suffered not having that on it.

Re: Seen the full feature version of Wolverine!

I see where your coming from BlackBolt, and I guess it's just down to opinion, and the Wolverine you see in Jackman's portrayal. I guess I see most of the films from an 'Ultimate X-Men' perspective, which seems to be where most of these characters basis has come from, and to me the films Logans have done a great job capturing that portrayal.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see an Astonishing X-Men film, especially with all the costumes straight from the comics (spandex...yum), but I doubt it will ever happen.

Re: Seen the full feature version of Wolverine!

I just thought that they're were WAY TOO many characters in this one.... Or they just tried to cram a TON of info into this in a small amount of time. Things didn't really come together for me... I had too many questions at the end of the movie. I feel like it was a "Marvel origins" movie and not the "Wolverine origins" movie!!!
