Nah, there are improvements with military and Godzilla sharing the same shot.

Already more action in this trailer than G2014.

The visuals looked fine to me this godzilla just looks more cartoonish to me. He's creepy as hell though. And none of the Japanese films didn't have awful sfx shots...not a single one. Even gmk, g2000, megaguirus, Tokyo sos, final wars, all the hesei films, and of course the Showa.

If the story and tone are good I'll like it more than 2014 no matter how much of a puppet he looks.

Love the face from the frontal view. The rest I'm trying to wrap my head around.

Nothing looks meaner than this guy.

The only thing I like about this design is the way he holds his arms.
Feels different enough without looking odd for the character, unlike new US version.

Wow, if the movie lives up to the tone and quality this trailer built, I'll be very excited to watch this, looks like one of Toho's best efforts in a long time.

I actually really love the face facing forward. Wish he looked slightly more evened out in the body but I know what they were going for.

It'll all come down to execution but I think they nailed a horrific mutant face that still can be "Godzilla"

I pretty much got nothing from the trailer. Impossible to form any kind of opinion. That's probably a good thing. I can't honestly say anything bad about it at this point.
