Well I decided to compare my boots with the SW Lara 2.0 boots.
For some reason they surprisingly bothered with the details that time around. Mine are ripped directly from the original 3D model, so I'm guessing a lot of the original detail got lost because they were textures instead of mesh.
An odd thing I noticed from the 3D model, her right boot is slightly wider than her left boot. I guess Lara wears two different boot sizes. 😵
So I need to make more creases, overall detail, side zippers, and make them bigger.
Back to the drawing board!

I found these on ali as well. I think theyre the right boots but theyre not tied all the way for some reason. In the description it does say “female size” but ive been burned too many times. Bought “female” shoes before only to receive huge man boots. You’d have to cut off the weird blue sock thing tho

Yeah I've had that happen once or twice. Very annoying.
Even worse when they have male clothing listed as "fits female". Uh no it won't, bud. Lol

I actually wanted to get those boots you posted. They always looked a bit cheap to me though. Those might look decent with a repaint and some customizing.

Just because you didnt like it doesnt make it so..

This is an animated show. Different writers, different creators. Different everything. They dont compare. I’ll judge for myself. But don’t have high hopes.

Not triggered. Just annoyed when ppl state their opinion as a fact. Especially in the tomb raider fandom. The amount of ppl saying “not my lara” “everyone hates new lara” bla bla bla. It’s energy draining and the generalisation is annoyingggg

Sounds pretty typical of this era of Lara. I too found the reboot trilogy mediocre. I enjoyed my initial playthrough enough but once I finished, all details left my brain and I have never felt a desire to revisit them. Alas.

lol I kinda figured. I'm still gonna check it out because I love the TR franchise. But I'm not expecting anything other than it being another generic animated show.
Now that this is finally out, I'm expecting them to show something from the new game soon.

I havent watched it yet but Netflix released a 2 minute promo of her fighting an alligator.

Most of the action happens off screen. No gore or blood. She’s bitten but isnt even phased and no bitemarks. Wonder if this show is for kids or something? Art direction is super bland. The animation looks uninspired… its not looking good

Watched three episodes only, I think it’s fine for what it is, but generally artstyle and Lara design is atrocious. Also not a huge fan of voice actress (forgot name) she sounds too mature imo. Netflix has done some amazing animated series/movies: Castlevania, nightmare of the wolf, blood of Zeus… idk what happened here and why she looks as a half boiled potato.

It's an odd series.

Early on I got a strong sense of deja vu from the animation style that I was watching something like the X-Men cartoon from the 1990s. Then it got surprisingly violent and bloody which threw me off.

The artwork is hit and miss. Some of the scenery is very detailed and evocative, while at other times it looks lazy.

Also, for a time I thought they were strongly hinting that Lara was lesbian, which wouldn't surprise me nowadays. The dialogue between her and Camilla was going in that direction so I wonder whether they were toying with the idea, before opting to describe their relationship as being "like sisters".
