I don't think the Hellcat is very good bang for the buck as a drag race car. It's just too heavy and you can't fit wide tires on it. To me it's a car you buy as an utterly stupid (but cool as hell) daily driver.

With enough effort anything can be made better but most people will never take their car to a track or strip. Doesn't mean people can't take it to a strip (or track) and not learn how to drive it, so it stills have the fun factor for me.

700+ HP out the door... That's insane amount of power for the uninitiated and potentially fatal on the street real quick.

Sure, that's why the Hellcat is so stupid (but cool). That being said, you could build a MUCH faster Vega, Mustang, or whatever for the strip. I think the majority of Hellcat owners will take it to the strip a few times, but well spend the vast majority of the time using them as daily drivers or weekend toys. Honestly, the SRT 392 is overkill for the street...which is why the Hellcat is so ludicrous.

My newest toy. Upgraded from a '14 Stingray to this '17 Z06 and couldn't be happier.

Thanks, Grimlock. I thought my Stingray was fast(and technically it was), but this thing takes it to a completely different level. It's downright scary if you're not careful....and I haven't even started modding it yet. :lol

Power mods aren't necessary. The C7Z is overpowered from the factory. What do you have planned? I'm not sure I'd make any mods at all to be honest.

I'm probably not going to do much to it actually. Even though it doesn't add much hp I'll probably put on a Borla X-pipe just for the improvement in sound. May do an intake and a tune somewhere down the line, but not right away because as you said it's already pretty damn powerful. :wink1:

Yeah, I do think it is too quiet. That's one of my few complaints about the C7Z.

At start up it shakes the Earth, but quiets down after that unless you're at WOT(which is kinda hard to do on public roads). Lol.

My Tesla doesn't ship until end of this year/beginning of next and we needed a new car. So we bought this one yesterday.

Model 3 on order?

Yes, since last April. I'm used to waiting...thanks Sideshow.

2 sweet cars at once? Pretty awesome!

Feels good. I am happy to have both but also glad to have to still wait a few months. I'm not used to having so much money come out of my account that ISN'T for statues. I mean, aside from my mortgage and stuff.

Buffy you'll fit right into Cali with that tesla.... :peace:peace

For sure, I live in Palo Alto and a Tesla is the most common car here. I have neighbors who own multiple Teslas. I'm not really a fan of them, but they are everywhere. [emoji15]
