Even though I don't really care about the snaps and other minor (IMO) inaccuracies I'd still rather read an articulate complaint about that than another "Too bad Hot Toys didn't make this.":sleep
Now I can tell my fiancee the word of the day is "stormflap.":D

Stormflap! Yes!

You Guys know you can simply rub your paint smudged thumb over the face to fill in the stubble, right? Do it lightly first, then layer to your satisfaction...

I have a strong hate for this type of neck now.. it kinda kills the "high-end" ness of it for me.. and just saying for ME... but overall I think the figure came out nice.. can't wait to get it.

Thanks for the support, guys. I appreciate it. At least I know there are some who understand I'm not trying to slight anyones opinions who aren't concerned about the details as others or myself obviously are. If you feel the giving an honest critique that doesn't agree with your assessment is ruining your fun then I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm not ripping on Sideshow, just calling it as I see it. I think it's great there are some who just want a nice looking Indy. They're getting it for sure out of this figure. I wish I felt that way and probably would about other franchises, but as I said, Raiders of the Lost Ark is my thing. It is my complete hobby. This is why I'm so critical and I don't see anything wrong with voicing my opinion the same way you aren't as critical about the figure.

It's all just a matter of opinion and all should be welcome with open minds.

Should be in the SSC Warehouse next week. I may even get this next week! :whip

And I LIKE the neck, it shows well with open shirt...

Still on the fence about the jacket, but Sovereign Studios may make a run of jackets so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Last I heard from Shawn (we gab all the time) is he might actually cast a rubber jacket that will look and act just like his amazing Jacket...

I dunno why, but something tells me this is going to be my travel figure.. where ever I go with nice landscaping I'm bring indy along to grab a pic. haha

Wow, I didn't know this Indy has so much inaccuracies, makes me wanna throw this figure away now.....NOT!!!

Seriously guys, let's take this figure for what it is. For 90 bucks, it's the best Indy figure in the market now despite the inaccuracies. I mean I will ^^^^^ about it if it was 160 bucks but for 90 bucks, I am very happy with the purchase. The overpriced Medicom POC got less flak that this.

This figure easily one of my favourite figure now, replacing DK costume bats next to my laptop. It's great value for money and there is nothing like Dr. Jones in front of you each time I am using my laptop. :whip

Most importantly, he looks exactly like Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones to everyone (non toy collectors) I have shown so far and isn't that a good thing? I showed a female friend my V1 Joker and she was like "That looks nothing like Heath" and that figure costs me a lot more than Indy.

This is a very cool shot, I am super pumped. Thanks again noisetrigger! :rock

Agreed, that shows there's PLENTY to work with there and I'm really happy with how it's looking so far. A little futzing, a little weathering, a nice repaint by Les or Josh...heck, maybe even some water treatment (although Indy's clothes aren't supposed to be skintight)...

At any rate, that's part of the fun to me...to customize my figures to make them the ULTIMATE collectibles that they can be...and 'one-of-a-kind' items at that. That's what I've done and am doing with my LOTR figures and my SW figures, why not Indy? Even some Hot Toys stuff I have has been customized...all the Aliens marines, plus a little weathering on Jack Sparrow and Will Turner...Just adds to the 'cinematic replica' quality to me...

Yes indeedy, Indy. Can't wait to get this into MY hands! :gun

Wow, the personal insults just keep coming and in the defense of a toy.

Talk about blowing this out of proportion.

It is a bit alarming how feudal things can get lately, tolerance of alternated opinions seems to be less and less around here these days.

I think you should heed your own advice...
But first, two words bro...."DEEP BREATH."

Sheesh... not feeling too well lately?

Couldn't be better. Just tired of reading the same harsh critique, by the same user, rehashed to make it look new but emphasizing the same points over and over as if we're trying to be "convinced" to see things their way. Then being attacked for stating my observation of it all. Additionally, I think it's problematic when said harsh critique is being dolled out by someone who doesn't even have the figure in question.

:lol
The TrueType does have quite a badonk.

If you had a tush like that, how far back do you think you could lift your leg while maintaining a straight posture? :rotfl

In defense of the TrueType though, it's more realistic as backward motion for non-yoga masters requires a bit of pelvic rotation.

No, I love the TT. I have an extra wating in case I get a floppy Dr. Jones. I only noticed the butt issue when I tried to put my custom Blade into some non-Hot Toys pants. I gave him a little lypo and he's good to go.

And in a day and age, no less, where people are getting gluteal implants.
