I understand feeling obsessed with Indy to the point where your mancrush has you pointing out minute inaccuracies.

See... this is a good example of why you are already a problem on these boards. You can't possibly engage in a discussion (much less disagreements) without bringing out the personal attacks.

If Dave or other mods have not issued you warnings by now then something is wrong.

Uh....first off, I don't have a problem on these boards. And second, that was only after being called shallow and petty for simply stating that I believe the harsh critique should wait until the figure is IN hand. Or did you miss that?

here we go, some pics just so we remember what the hell this thread is about.:D

only the prototype ones though!

Provided getting one of the well painted heads, I'd say visually, the production Indy is much nicer looking than the proto.

why are they called storm flaps? surely the last thing you want in a storm are things flapping? :D

I like the prototype a lot. It will be interesting to see what other changes were made to the production version in addition to the inclusion of storm flap clasps.

From what I've seen of the photos I agree. Although, could be a completely different story once Indy is in hand. Hope I don't get a lazy-eyed, lipsticked version of Indy.

I agree. I'm pleasantly surprised. Paint apps aside it looks great so far.

Only problem I've seen there is consistency. The good paints apps are awesome, and the bad are pretty weak, there's really no middle ground. I'm crossing fingers I get a well painted hatted head, if there's something off with the hatless, that's fine with me, my personal image of Indy is hat and all so that's the figure look I want to have look its best.

the one on the left was posted by noisetrigger ,the right is the proto.

the final production looks way better than the proto. I assume it's those two little brass buttons at the top and bottom of the jacket that are causing the concern?

It's a bummer the paint is wishywashy but either way I'm going to be repainting mine. I can't wait to weather him all proper too.

It does look better.

Odd that the web belt there looks OD green/tan...when we know they fixed the belt to the proper brown color.

Also odd are the brass rivets on the top and bottom of the jacket zipper area. What the heck are those for? To hold the zipper in place?
